I try to run on mio C520 but I can't start the application.
Here is the link for the original files from IGO8 SD CARD:
http://rapidshare.com/files/151068381/Backup.rar
I replaced the igo.exe files and the data.zip, and the IGO is not running...
I have miomap.exe.id, is this file cause the problems ? (they use miomap.exe instead of igo.exe), when i change to the original, IGO8 is running.
Can any one help ?

However it gets stuck on MAINSCREEN LOAD Screen when trying it on my Fujitsu Siemens N560 any idea why ?????? In other words IGO8 does not work, it just hangs on Mainscreen Load screen.....

Today I tried the v54000 Sep 1 , version again on my Fujistsu Siemens N560 . I used the mirrior link and this time it worked ! :)

I have no idea why it didn't work on the first try but it just worked today.

So I can confirm to you that SEP 1 version works on my :

1) Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox N560
2) HTC Touch Pro

i am using igo 8 on a navman ICN530 as IGO is a lot better but I have a question.

On my ICN530 unit, i have a petrol and parking button and I was wondering (hoping) i could keymap these buttons to pull up the Petrol starion POI screen.

Currently they are mapped to something like GOHOME.

I know I can get the keybind (I think it is C5 off the top of my head) but I want the command to point to the POI.

I am also using the Ultra 5 skin but I am willing to change skin if it coild be done?

thank you

Is that a NAVMAN ICN530 your running it on?

I like to know how. Got one here under some dust, and like to update it to newer software.

Hi guys:

I have been trying to get my bluetooth function to work on my Mio C520 and Igo8, but unable to make it work. Can somebody help me out and give me a detailed instruction to make it work? Ie: what skin to use, what to put in the application path in the bluetooth button? I am running .54000 version

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

As far as I know, there's no possibility to make the BT work with iGO8, like it used to work with Miomap v3.3. The application for starting it is in Windows/MioBT.exe, but it also has a MioBT.exe.id, which I suppose is connected to the Miomap.exe. If you try to start the application through (from) iGO8.exe, it won't start.
The only thing that you can do is to start Miomap v3.3, start the BT from there, and then exit Miomap and enter in iGO8. You will be able to receive calls on your C520 and start calls from your mobile phone only, but speak through the C520. But all these until, at a certain and undefined moment, the application will freeze on the MioBT screen. Then you'll need a restart and you'll have to redo all these. It's unconvenient and I renounced to use the BT.
There's no skin that can resolve this problem, as far as I know (and I searched a lot on the forums). If there's anybody that has a solution for the BT on the Mio C520 devices, I beg him to post it. Thanks in advance!

The bluetooh function work fine in my C520. You must put a line like this in 'navigatemap_480_272.ui', near bluetooth buttom:
<BUTTON btn_CSBT template=footer4_1a z=0 text="Bluetooth" onrelease='START_APPLICATION "\Windows\MioBTM.exe" "-phoneui", PREVSTATE' hide>

Soryy by my english...

The CE 4.2 is in ROM so not able to add anything to the \Windows dir, but the build 8.0.0.49545 of a size 2.84 MB (2,980,888 bytes) release did work.

I did run 54000 in my CE 4.2 Chinese DVD GPS unit with out problem , did you modified some things?

No nothing modified, the only files I can add to the unit is sd-card based only. What is in the flash is just the onboard menu system outside of the OS.

I tried UPX'ing the igo8.exe and it works on my PNA now!?! :)

Hi Guys

USER.UPOI - IGO8

EXPORT your own POI's into your PC for managing/editing them

You can export your own POI's into other devices too .

Just goto this web site : A guy called Ashus has a remedy for this ........

http://poi.ashus.net/

Register here and import your user.upoi file and start mamaging immediately on the site. If you like you can export all your OWN POI's into your PC for further evaluating and or managing them ..

The simplest way is it : IMPORT your user.upoi and then EXPORT into .kml format so you can see them with Google Earth , and then you can save them on other formats using various many converters around.

I just copied all my IGO8 own POI's into my Garmin XT , now both programs have the exaclty same 258 own POI's I have.

Enjoy it and thanks to Ashus.
