Hmmm.
I copied my 4GB card to an 8GB card, and IGO8 hang up right at the beginning of the initialization process. Can't recall the exact phase (as per the messages that appear on the bottom-right corner of the screen).
My PC is down, so I can't copy the card again at the moment.
Did you just copy the cards' contents and began using IGO8, or did you first uninstall IGO then reinstall from the card?
Thanks.

[edit] Just found the 8GB card. I inserted it, clicked on the Today IGO8 icon, and when IGO8 started - it hang while displaying the "Languages" message.
This card should be an exact copy of my 4GB card.
An SR didn't help.

[edit2] I removed the 8GB card, reinserted the 4GB card, and the init process continued! But then I received an error message, so I exited IGO, restarted it and everything is fine (with the 4GB card).
Maybe I should copy the card again? It's a brand new Sandisk 8GB SDHC card.

Eh why would I copy from one card to another? I downloaded the corresponding iGO8 version (right now using 8.3.xx which rocks) to my notebook. Transferred it to my 8gb SD card, put it into my polaris and started the installation process.
Be aware, that upon first start of iGO8, some init processes (e.g. POI or GeoDB) can take a few minues till iGO is running for the first time. After that, my start process is pretty fast.

polford,
I have many apps installed on my card. That's why I have to copy the contents (including IGO8).
I even removed (uninstalled IGO8) before copying the card, then copied it afresh on the card, then reinstalled, but it didn't help.
And I'm aware the the sometimes lengthy startup process, which is due to the loading of contacts' addresses, personal favorites, POIs etc, but this is not the case (and it is not the correct place in the startup sequence anyway).

I have a few questions for ya. What version of igoo8 are you running? and have you consider upgrading your kaiser to wm6? I have igo 8 49545 pda ver, running on 4gb card on tytnII, working with no prob. Also you might want to do a full install on 8gb card, and not just copy files. igo8 likes to claim the whole SD card, so it probably is writing some hidden files on card. just my 2 cents. Once it's running you will be able to put other files on card, such as maps, buildings, pois. 8)

Does somebody reconise my problem?

When i go to the 2D mode I can't zoom futher out then the scale of 50km.

It used to be no limit and i could zoom until i saw the globe. But now i seems to be locked at 50km.

I did an reinstall of Igo and then it happend.

Does anyone know an answer? I tried everything. I have all the dem maps. I have all maps of europe and USA.

Edit:

Sys.txt says maxzoom=60000, so the problems seems to be somewere else :s

Edit2:
It was a sys.txt fault. I had an old backup sys.txt, and when i copied it to the igo folder it worked. Dont know why but is does.

I made backup of the 4 GB card on my PC (I used card reader and backup software- like Norton Ghost or Acronis), then I restored it to 8 GB card. It works for me.
