for PNA users....do we simply rename application.dat to igo8.exe and just replace older files as appropriate to install from package in 1st post?

I have replaced miomap on my c520 with 54000 and its flawless. tried this 55127 one, saw no difference, just when you exit, it says exiting please wait in bottom right and stays there until you hard reset!

Back to 54000

Is there a sys.txt entry to have iGo ignore hardware buttons? I have a menu button that iGo stops me from getting to my PNA's shell program menu.

OK so heres my problem.

I removed MIO from my C520 device, and replaced it with IGO 8.0.0.54000. It works really well, and have no dramas with it. Also it starts at the press of the MioMap button on the start up screen, and exits to it properly.

But this new 8.0.0.55127 version loads and works good, but when I exit from IGO to mainscreen, it stops at that blue screen with "exiting please wait...." in bottom right, and thats it until I hard reset!

Any suggestions on why this would be like this.

The sys.txt is the same I had with 54000, and when I put the 54000 exe back on, it works 100% :D

Thanks in advance for your help.

It's running ok on my MIO C520.

Just a few things:

1. I'm running it from my SD card. All software resides on SD card, in flash I just have a launcher which starts when I push MIOMAP button.
2. I cleaned "save" folder before starting
3. Tried only with default skin.
4. I have in sys.txt: (not sure it makes a difference or not:)

[power]
skip_resume_process=1
skip_suspend_process=1

I'm using data zip from previous version, just IGO8.exe is changed.

This version does not have the "wakeup issue".

I did only a simulation, all looks OK, but I'm using 8.3.2 now, this is just a "backup".

Hi I have a chinese pna 480_234 unit using the SD card that has been working very well on iGO9 8.0.0.5400. I have a problem with the screen darkness at the highest level it is near impossible to see in daylight, Is there a sys.txt solution for this. The second problem is after using for some 20 minutes or so in car if I switch it off and then on again,It refuses to restart and switches off.
Can anyone assist please

Good work mate, just playing around with my setup and I got adventurous with my data.zip and branding.zip. I deleted all the unused devices in the data.zip (left all mio ones), unused resolutions, languages, backgrounds etc. to make it into a 2,741KB file.

Also the branding.zip, which is now only 312KB.

Once I removed the program languages, voices (normal and tts) and colour schemes, my full install of IGO 8.0.055127 is now 333MB!

All I can say is how much quicker it loads, and smoother the map scrolls on the screen. The TTS HARDLY ever stutter (before it used to lots) which is probably less being loaded into memory on startup.
:D :D

the new 8.0.0.55127 has some issues with volume controls. the device volume is pumped to maximum after exiting iGO.
Anyone has a solution for that?

MarkBaja, how did you unzip, modify, and rezip the data.zip and branding.zip files? i tried doing this (using winzip, and re-zipping with no compression), but when i try to start the program, it tells me that the application database could not be found...
