with Dell Axim X51v iGo8 R3 - no go (I couldn't resist the words).

It does not work, it says "Out of Memory", using North America map set.

Previous version R0 worked like a charm.

Any suggestions (other then buying a newer PDA)?

Thanks,

:D

R3 runs fine on my x51v man. Though I got only the german map on it right now. NA map might be more memory intensive. I don't know. But for me it runs decently. I have 3d buildings disabled (useless in my eyes anyway) and got details set to medium.
Forget about TTS, for that the x51v doesn't have enough memory.

i was also getting out of memory errors on my mio a501 using 64873 and a map with many buildings/landmarks, especially when i entered areas that had to display all the landmarks. i solved the problem by unchecking "landmarks" (but i left the buildings displayed - to be shown from far away). my details are also set to "high". i haven't had any out of memory problems since i deselected landmarks...

@LZF

For HTC Touch Pro and Touch Diamond, please add 480x640 as well.

If you have setted this parameter on your sys.txt,

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

you must change to this,

[folders]
app="My Storage/iGO8"

or whatever your flash drive is named on your devices.

If you have Igo already installed on your devices, then you must change the sys.txt located in folder Program Files\Igo8 too.

Thanks all!

My problem is that I get "Out of Memory" when the program initializes, so I can not change any setting. I will try to remove some maps or components and see if that helps.

R3, (latest nov 13 B with fixed data.zip), with full USA maps and TTS is
working nicely on my X51v.

I am using the TTS files released for the R0 series and the latest diMka skin.
Also, 'buildings' are disabled and detail is set to 'high'.

I have 32MB RAM before starting and all works without any problems so far.

Try deleting the '\Save' folder, (after backing it up first), and restart iGo8.

here is my 'sys.txt' file:

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[interface]
maxzoom2d=60000
show_exit=1

[debug]
skip_eula=1
disable_outlookpoi=1
show_lane_info=1

supress_straight=0
supress_highway_enter=0
supress_trivial_left=0
supress_trivial_right=0

[navigation]
sim_speed_factor=2.0

[map]
2dheadup=1
3d_scale_carmodel=1
3dcarsizemin=3800
3dcarsizemax=5800
3dcarsizemul=10000

ok, that makes sense. what is the default if you don't put anything? is it 1? and what is the speed of the flyover (relative to 1x speed)?

Default (nothing in sys.txt) if I remember correctly was sim running at 35kmh.
I have it set to 4 since I just want it running along at a fast pace so I can get a general idea of the route etc.
