Can anyone else who is using 8.3.2 please confirm this, or is it just a few of us who got a bad install or bad sys.txt settings?
Can't believe only 3-4 people here are recognizing that slow screen refresh rates while navigating.
Please someone who didn't recognize this yet revert back to 8.3.1 and check if you DO NOT see any difference in performance/FPS when actually navigating.

Have the same issue with 8.3.2 on Touch Diamond.

Try this in your sys.txt

[power]
powermgm_state=0

It seems to help after a first short test. Further investigation is required.

1. After i installed my "Save" Folder from the Old version to the new i cannot see my "Personal" POI's ( the ones i self installed).
2. I copied the " Basemap.fbl" to the new version but i cannot see it, is there a Special version for the 13 Nov??

Would appreciate your help.

@ausi

The maps must be new maps.
The Poi are not compatible you must go to http://poi.ashus.net/ and convert your poi from 8.0 to 8.3

Many Thanks!!!
The POI Converter worked FANTASTIC.
Do you/someone have a link to the new BaseMap??

When I hit INFO for POI's it gives this popup msg:

FFUIERROR: Unknown Object Identifier
Identifier =[nPlaceStateMode] Script "[sc_SelectPOIItem_msnd]" command 2

When I click on 'MSN Direct', it gives this popup msg:

FFUIERROR: Unknown Object Identifier
Identifier =[st_MsndMain] Script "[Unnamed]" command 1

I am on Touch Diamond w/ 8.3.2 (nov-13 release) w/ latest data.zip (data_8.3.2_fixed_v6) and using Navteq-Q2 maps and POI

Hey bro, will give it a try. Well what result did you get using that option? Anything below the same performance as with 8.3.1 is a no-go for me. If this can't be solved I'll stay with 8.3.1
What I don't get is, that simulation and fly over are both fine. The horrible performnace only takes place when actually routing/navigating.

I downloaded both:
Nav N Go iGO v8.3.1.57021
and
Nav N Go iGO v8.3.2.64873
along with
USA Maps For iGO 8.3.1 Series

Neither of the above stand alone versions have the language files with them. Where can I get these? When I start it it says "Initialization error: no language files were found".

Thanks a lot.

I really don't get it. But I don't think it's a 8.3.2 problem. Somehow our installations must be f***ed up or whatever. Or how do you explain. that 8.3.2 runs quite fast on my x51v and not on yours? And it does suck and give me slideshow graphics on my Touch HD? Strange, isn't it?

I've notice the slow performance you're talking about. But my guess is that the way the iGO does the redering is some how slow. So I've removed the section:

[rawdisplay]
highres=0

So my current sys.txt is the below one and it seems more responsive. I will do more tests in real traffic.

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[interface]
skin="ui_igo8"
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[rawdisplay]
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"
driver="GDI"

[map]
2dheadup=1

[3d_config]
roadsign_lines_per_screen=24

[sound]
mute_os_key=1

NOT data.zip but branding.zip !!!
data.zip (v6 by LZF) works fine, but the picture from begining (that is contained in branding.zip) it's half stretched of the display

This small change to sys.txt appears to give the same performance as 8.3.1. As far as I can tell so far it is fast and smooth. Suggest anyone with screen refresh performance issues with 8.3.2 gives it a try and reports back.
