I am on Touch Diamond w/ 8.3.2 (nov-13 release) w/ latest data.zip (data_8.3.2_fixed_v6) and using Navteq-Q2 maps and POI

Disable MSND by adding this in SYS.TXT:

Oh. Yah now it works fine. What does MSND do actually? I thought its a new feature

working very fine newest version with update on Samsung Omnia I900. There is only a little problem. When im running IGO after some minutes the device is going into Standby :( . So propably my device thinks that it is not in use and so switches off the display.
I previously had an other version of IGO 8.0.0.xxxx installed and with this version it didnt do that (propably because there was an "install" file wich installed the Programm and not only copy the whole content into the memory) any solutions ? (except of deactivating the energy saving options on my device)

@mrmercury, select from Settings -> Device -> Power Management -> Backlight Always On
That should solve your problem.

New data.zip v7 for iGO 8.3.2.64873, includes 240x320, 320x240, 480x272, 800x480, 480x800, 400x240, 240x400 and 320x320. WVGA and QWVGA are modified and tested by me on a Xperia X1, found no bugs so far. 320x320 I couldn't obviously test, so please let me know if there are still bugs in these resolutions.

[rawdisplay]
driver="GDI"
class="landscape"

- For changing the 2D streetname fontsize in highres WVGA (800x480, 480x800) add this to your SYS.TXT (thanks to taxol)
[interface]
mapfontscale=200

You can change the number to your preferences.

- And now for the best part, specially for Xperia X1 users, skip all above SYS.TXT modifications and add this to your SYS.TXT:
[device]
type="ALIAS_XPERIA"

After you have added this, you can easily change from portrait to landscape and vise versa (just like normal QVGA resolution devices, no more manual editing of SYS.TXT).
If you already added the previous modifications, please remove it or add a semicolon (;) in front of the lines.

OK, I tried:
[power]
powermgm_state=0
and
[power]
powermgm_state=2

and neither fixes the screen diming after turn off problem. Again, I don't see any setting in win ce 4.2.

This version with the new TTS USA voices seems to not be saying street names very often. Lots of next rights and lefts without the street name. Any fix?

Slow refresh rate problem was solved on my X51v by using the diMka skin.

I posted earlier that I wasn't sure if it was a newer 'data.zip' or the skin.
Since someone posted that the new 'data.zip' did not fix the problem than
it appears that the solution was in fact the 'diMka skin'.

Please, anyone with a PDA and the slow refresh rate problem try using
the newest R3 compatible 'diMka skin' to see if it solves the problem for you.

Ah I thought I was going nuts. I'd appreciate this as well. I also noticed it does stuff like instead of saying "route" it says "R.T.". If there's a fix for that I'd be really appreciative.

Also, my Mio's default map program had a feature where if you were browsing on the map and clicked on a location, and that location is a business, the POIs would show up. So for example if I clicked on a restaurant, the cursor would bring up a POI and then you could click it and get more info/the phone number. Any way to do this in iGO 8?

This is all on a Mio c310x by the way.

Thanks! This forum RULES!

You must be using the new TTS voices but using v8.3.1 or before. The format is different for 8.3.2 and thus they say route in it.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to install 8.3.2.64873. I currently have 8.3.1.56007. I have the HTC touch pro and every time I installed it, it kept asking me to load the program in the SD card (which was where the program was all the time :( ). Then I added the line in beginning of sys.txt which kind of forces it look in the SD card and that solved the problem. But then I started getting memory error.

Then I installed 8.3.1 again and then just replaced the igo.exe file, added a copy of igo.exe renamed as application.dat (I saw someone mentioning that in this thread) and used some of the modifications of the sys.txt which I found. This time the program installed but I couldn't see the exit/close program button in the initial screen.

Could someone point me to a working 2577 folder and igo folder which I could install the same way I installed the 8.3.1
Also, what does the application.dat file do? Do I need it or could I just remove it?

I am quite happy with the 8.3.1 but it seems like 8.3.2 does not have the gps lag and that is the main reason I would like to upgrade.

Thanks a lot.
