Could someone point me to a working 2577 folder and igo folder which I could install the same way I installed the 8.3.1

I have the same question, because I'd like to assign my GPS button to the installed iGO. I tried several autorun.exe and autorun_8.nng files, but after installation the program (iGO8.exe) starts a cyclic upgrade, and after remove itself.
Any idea?

you don't need to autoinstall to assign your GPS button to iGO. i have iGO on my SD card only and have the button assigned. just "copy" iGO.exe from your SD card, and "paste shortcut" to Windows/Start Menu/Programs (and rename the shortcut if you want, e.g. to iGO or iGO8 or iGO8.3). it will then appear in the list of programs you can assign to your buttons.

We solved guidance strip problem but, there is another !
Do you really know, how to change the nextarrowcolor other than black in daytime schemes?
(Look at upper left corner of the screenshot)
I tried to comment in data.zip\ui_igo8\common\day2dcolor.ini and day3dcolor.ini like that:
;nextarrowcolor = 0,16,42,232
;nextarrowcontourcolor = 0,0,0,0

but arrows are still black. Xerses day schemes v8 are also give black, even they declare:

nextarrowcolor = 0,16,42,232
nextarrowcontourcolor = 0,0,0,0

the black arrow you circled IS the guidance strip, NOT the "next arrow". if you want to get it to the original colors (i.e. orange arrow on red route), just delete the "scheme" folder from your contents (or at least default-day.zip). then you'll only be left with the default day and night color schemes in your settings, and the default day scheme is the one with the orange arrow (guidance strip).

New data.zip v8 for iGO 8.3.2.64873, includes 240x320, 320x240, 480x272, 800x480, 480x800, 400x240, 240x400, 320x320 and 480x234. WVGA and QWVGA are modified and tested by me on a Xperia X1, found no bugs so far. 320x320 and 480x234 I couldn't obviously test, so please let me know if there are still bugs in these resolutions.

Rename to data.zip

- Add to SYS.TXT for 800x480 display:
[interface]
resolution_dir="800_480"
vga=0
wide=1

[rawdisplay]
driver="GDI"
class="landscape"
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480

- Add to SYS.TXT for 480x800 display:
[interface]
resolution_dir="480_800"
vga=0
wide=1

[rawdisplay]
driver="GDI"
class="portrait"
highres=0
screen_x=480
screen_y=800

- Add to SYS.TXT for 400x240 display:
[interface]
resolution_dir="400_240"
vga=0
wide=1

[rawdisplay]
driver="GDI"
class="landscape"
highres=0
screen_x=400
screen_y=240

- Add to SYS.TXT for 240x400 display:
[interface]
resolution_dir="240_400"
vga=0
wide=1

[rawdisplay]
driver="GDI"
class="portrait"
highres=0
screen_x=240
screen_y=400

- For changing the 2D streetname fontsize in highres WVGA (800x480, 480x800) add this to your SYS.TXT (thanks to taxol)
[interface]
mapfontscale=200

You can change the number to your preferences.

- And now for the best part, specially for Xperia X1 users, skip all above SYS.TXT modifications and add this to your SYS.TXT:
[device]
type="ALIAS_XPERIA"

After you have added this, you can easily change from portrait to landscape and vise versa (just like normal QVGA resolution devices, no more manual editing of SYS.TXT).
If you already added the previous modifications, please remove it or add a semicolon (;) in front of the lines.

If you quote this message, please remove the images.

Oh, yes, almost forgot: this is the trimmed version I use for 400x240 & 800x480. If you use other resolutions, just unzip & copy the file "multipoi.icon" (ui_igo/icons/poi) from my file to your original data.zip.

UPDATE:
For those not using the posted modified file, pls ensure you make the following change: if your current data.zip has a file called "kmlpoi.icon" (ui_igo8/icons/poi), you may need to delete it in order for the "multipoi.icon" to work.

application.dat is one and the same as igo.exe, just renamed - if you're running igo directly from the sd card, you don't need application.dat, you just have to have igo.exe in the igo folder on the sd card. if you're autoinstalling onto your device (i.e. with the 2577 folder), you have to have application.dat in the igo folder on your sd card (if it isn't there, just duplicate the igo.exe file and rename the duplicated file application.dat). during the installation process, the autoinstaller from the 2577 folder copies application.dat over to your device and renames it igo.exe.

as for not seeing the exit button in the initial screen, you probably started up in msnd mode. you have to disable this mode to get to the "standard" main screen (which does have an exit button). to do this, add these lines to your sys.txt:

[msnd]
enabled=0

Thanks; I will try that. The last time I installed it, it also gave a fatal error when I clicked on the msnd icon; I am assuming that might also be resolved if I disable msnd

On a related note, would the 2577 folder for 8.3.156007 work for 8.3.2.64873 as well.
thanks

Just search the forum for a different license. It is a known problem. once you find the right one it will work.

That's right, but there is a bug on Igo installation and when you install it on the flash drive, it also creates a Igo8 subfolder in My Device\Program Files containing the Igo8.exe and a new sys.txt.
