Great news. But this version number seems lower, could we use .64873 exe file with it? And some other guy showed an iconx version which has 8.3.2.7 and 2008.12 map. are these available?

Any advice?

Thanks

I had an issue with ffui error after i updated to this version.I just managed to do a fresh install.I think the problem is the application.dat file. But the application.dat is the same as Igo.exe.
1. Make a copy of Igo.exe in a new folder.
2.In this folder rename Igo.exe to application.dat
3.Copy application.dat in the original folder, and now you have Igo.exe and application.dat in the same folder
4.Using the 2577 folder (with autorun from previous versions) you can now install Igo as fresh (not update)

My Pda is Mio P560 and Igo is running from internal flash.

I have been running 8.0 fine on my unlocked Mio Moov 200, but no matter what I do I cannot start 8.3. It starts with a blue loading screen, but then instantly quits. If I start it a second time, it says it is running.

What version shell I run on my Mio Moov 200?

I don't want to beg for WRZ$ - but there's still one issue my co-skinner found in navigate_400_240.ui:
Code: Select all   <PUSHBUTTON pbtn_t6 bmp="trip6.bmp" template=txt_hud_value_right y=145iconvalign="CENTER"  iconalign="RIGHT-1" var="9" textmodel_wstr="navigation.current_speed_limit.full_text" CHECKHIT>

A space is missing between y=145 and iconvalign=!

Should I modify something else other than the file poi.icons in \Storage Card\iGO8\ui_igo8\ICONS\POI and \Storage Card\iGO8\DATA.ZIP\ui_igo8\icons\poi so that my custom icons appear at the map?

Anyone, please?

I'm using Jetmouse's data.zip v8! If I use other data.zip file I get the poi icons showing in the map screen, but the UI becomes all messed up with that other data.zip because it was for version 8.3.1.57021 :(

Delete or rename the file ui_igo8\icons\poi\kmlpoi.icon inside the DATA.ZIP to avoid this issue!

Any news JetMouse ???

I have cracked that version couple of days back. It runs just fine with the original Becker skin (which has only 480x272 resolution) but crashes at route calculation while using generic data.zip. It's either NNG bug, or this version is very "device" (or I'd say becker data.zip) dependent. Some modifications of generic data.zip would be needed in order to fix that, unfortunately I don't have time for FFUI scripting at the moment...

Cheers,
JM

Hi JM,

I would be very glad if you could post this version for two reasons:
  1. I was asked in the past to patch the Becker skin for normal EXE (which was not possible because of many additional internal models)
  2. I could try to help getting this version to run with normal DATA.ZIP
Or are you going to include me in the restricted beta testers area??? 8)

This sounds like license problem. Some versions are with license that checks SD card presence check post #8 and use license suggested in that post.

Problem with North America POIs...hope someone can help. If I use the North America POI file from igo 8.3.2.x (Navteq maps) the NY State POI file is 3MB. The TeleAtlas 2008.04 POI file (used with igo 8.0.0.x) for NY is over 20MB. So - seeing in this thread I can just use the TeleAtlas version, I copied the larger file into my igo 8.3.x POI folder. However I see the following behavior when testing it by searching around my GPS position (my house).

Searching for "Marquee Cinema"

Using the larger Teleatlas file with Igo 8.0.0.x - it finds the nearest is 8 miles away - which is correct
Using the smaller NavTeq file with Igo 8.3.2.x - it finds the nearest is 8 miles away - which is correct
Using the larger Teleatlas file with Igo 8.3.2.x - it finds the nearest one is 113 miles away - obviously wrong

I've confirmed this with sevaral POIs.

Any ideas how to get igo 8.3.2.x to recognize the new POIs correctly? I noticed when I copied all the US POI files into the directory (about 400MB vs. 200MB) the first time I restarted 8.3.2.x it flew right past the INITPOI screen where I had thought it would take some time to assimilate the new files (yes - I reset the device first before trying)

Since only one person responded with seeing this type of behavior (and no solution) - let me ask a different question....does anyone know how to force a full POI INIT to happen? What I mean is usually when you load a new package, the first time you run Igo it sits for a while on the POI INIT screen...then subsequent startups go quickly...is there any way to force Igo into thinking it's got all new POIs to load?

i am trying to get it to work on my XPERIA.
i used the full download and added the data.zip from 20.12. also i added the "type=ALIAS_XPERIA" to the sys.txt and i changed the [folders] to the right destination.

but i still get:

FFUIERROR: Parse error [</script> expected]

did i miss anything? (the releaser uses his XPERIA to test for bugs, so it should be possible...)

works great on my Kaiser by the way. great work and thanks in advance!
