Thats correct kixass, but that has nothing to do with the loading screen. I have tested this my self yesterday

I use a Sony Ericsson X1, I don't have the original iGo startup screen on mode portrait, landscape mode is ok, how to correct this ?

When you put this:

Hi.
Is there a thread on skinning 8.3? I have had a look around but can't find one, so I'll post here.
I have a Mio c710 (CE4.2) with Igo8.3 from the OP and the diMkaspecter1.0.7.zip skin and the various speed cam voice alerts now work also.
I am pretty good at modding the data.zip file in miomap 3.2 (Igo 2006???) but don't seem to have much luck with the 8.3 skins. I have got rid of the turkey gobble !alert5 from the data.zip so that's now OK, but am having troubles moving things around the screen. What I am trying to do is this. Move the speedcam alert up the screen a bit. Increase the font size of the distance/av speed readout (found the code in both data.zip and the diMk skin, but changing the font size doesn't make any difference.I also want to move the rout info (Distance to dest etc.) to along the bottom of the screen. I have again found the code that seems to position them, but again, changing the x and y co-ordinates does not move the fields.
It seems that the 8.3 uses both data.zip and the additional skin from the content folder?
I have got the maps on an SD card with all the rest running from internal flash.
Any tips from any of the expert skinners would be more than welcome.
I haven't yet got TTS working, but reading here suggests that I have the wrong.dll files.

OK guys, I am still not able to resolve the dim screen problem. I tried everything recommended here. I tried all of these in the sys.txt and system.ini files:

powermgm_state=0
; backlight_sync_with_OS=0
; backlight_slow_api=0

Try this time with this configuration on the sys.txt and tell me back how it works.

Didn't work man. I even tried putting it in the system.ini and it did nothing there either

igo is for windows mobile, nokia n/E series has symbian, so if u got thou here, I suppose u know how to search for sygic or garmin

After installing, every thing is working fine EXCEPT ,
Can NOT Find GPS Reciever
(on ASUS A636, WM5)

on Ver 8.0.... the GPS is found and everything is O.K

installed the new data/branding.zip
even tried WITHOUT SYS.TXT
COM and BAUD RATE are the same (PDA and IGO8)
is there a Hardware compatibility issue ???

What 's Seems to be The PROBLEM ???

i cannot actually install iGO. When i click on igo icon from file explorer the user agreement comes up and then i can use it but it won't install. Every time i do it again it starts me off in Paris even though I've changed it. Can anyone help?
