Could u pl. post/upload ur working iGO8 R3 version. Like u, I too have 310x. R3 runs but there is no TTS. Thanks.

Did you replace the 2 .dll files needed to get TTS on the C310x?
This is a known issue, check the TTS thread.

My device is a mio c520 in which I use MioPocket 2.0 r32

I Installed iGO nov 13th version on my SD card. Got the voices and lang files, also the maps I needed.
The problem is that when I'm trying to load iGO i get this error:

Fatal Error:
Initialization error:
LoadLanguage failed

Any ideas on what should I do?

OK. Thank you all for your replies.
I formatted the SD card, re-copied everything there and the problem was fixed.
The thing is that now i'm using the default data.zip
Which are the advantages of using the Jetmouse's data.zip?

Ah,also the thing with the back button is rly annoying. everytime i hit the back button in iGO, even though my task bar is hidden, start button is clicked. It's really annnoying

This is well-known issue with IGO8 and WM6.1.

Hi,
In Control Panel in my device, I have an icon: USB client switch, in order to be detected for Activesync it must be set in RNDIS.
Hope this one helps.

If u use the standard skin, the speedcamera warning tone option appears only with active GPS(satellite)connection in real drive!

Merry Christmas to anyone! :D

Problem with North America POIs...hope someone can help. If I use the North America POI file from igo 8.3.2.x (Navteq maps) the NY State POI file is 3MB. The TeleAtlas 2008.04 POI file (used with igo 8.0.0.x) for NY is over 20MB. So - seeing in this thread I can just use the TeleAtlas version, I copied the larger file into my igo 8.3.x POI folder. However I see the following behavior when testing it by searching around my GPS position (my house).

Searching for "Marquee Cinema"

Using the larger Teleatlas file with Igo 8.0.0.x - it finds the nearest is 8 miles away - which is correct
Using the smaller NavTeq file with Igo 8.3.2.x - it finds the nearest is 8 miles away - which is correct
Using the larger Teleatlas file with Igo 8.3.2.x - it finds the nearest one is 113 miles away - obviously wrong

I've confirmed this with sevaral POIs.

Any ideas how to get igo 8.3.2.x to recognize the new POIs correctly? I noticed when I copied all the US POI files into the directory (about 400MB vs. 200MB) the first time I restarted 8.3.2.x it flew right past the INITPOI screen where I had thought it would take some time to assimilate the new files (yes - I reset the device first before trying)

Since only one person responded with seeing this type of behavior (and no solution) - let me ask a different question....does anyone know how to force a full POI INIT to happen? What I mean is usually when you load a new package, the first time you run Igo it sits for a while on the POI INIT screen...then subsequent startups go quickly...is there any way to force Igo into thinking it's got all new POIs to load?

cyclism6486 - I had the same problem as you - the POI's from the 8.0.x maps did not work with the 8.3.x software. After a few hours of trial and error, I found the problem - my version of the map/POI data came from the OCN8 release, and it is not compatible. The most recent version of the 8.0.x map data (2008.4) does work.

See the other thread with the R1 maps http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=256&t=43149 to download the entire 1.2~Gb and it will fix your problem.

Thanks for the pointer....it'll take a while to get the files, but I'll give it a shot. I think I do indeed have the OCN8 files installed.
