No it does not find my real position on the map. If I put an address then it will show that address on the map. But if I want to locate myself then no all I see is the triangle and a blank black if it night or green half blue screen in the day time.
My GPS signal is all the way to the top though and it say connected to receiver. What should I do next?

How to get your favourite sky back!
It looks like it is possible to get you sky (and sun/moon) back.
1) create a folder called UI_IGO8\COMMON in the iG08 main folder
2) put your sky and night BMP into it (call it sky_night.bmp and sky_day.bmp)
3) edit your day and night scheme zip file and put the line in the color3d.ini (in CONTENT\SCHEME)
for night scheme:
[other]
background_picture_0="$skin$/common/sky_night.bmp"
for day scheme:
[other]
background_picture_0="$skin$/common/sky_day.bmp"
If you are using iGo8's default color scheme you must edit UI_IGO8\COMMON
night3dcolor.ini and day3dcolor.ini like above.
You can do much more with sun etc. For example in day3dcolor.ini:
[other]
background_picture_0="$skin$/common/sky0.bmp"
background_picture_1="$skin$/common/sky1.bmp"
background_picture_2="$skin$/common/sky2.bmp"
background_picture_3="$skin$/common/sky3.bmp"
background_picture_4="$skin$/common/sky4.bmp"
sun_picture_0 = "$skin$/common/sun_0.bmp"
sun_picture_1 = "$skin$/common/sun_0.bmp"
sun_picture_2 = "$skin$/common/sun_1.bmp"
sun_picture_3 = "$skin$/common/sun_1.bmp"
sky0.bmp could be sunrise, sky4.bmp could be sunset (needs testing...)
Cheers

I got igo8 working smooth on my eten m800 with a resolution of 240x320 (stretched) everithing is working just fine the only thing that bothers me is when I zoom out in 3d , the white roads are fading and instead of seeing solid white roads I see only white lines in distance, but near the camera the roads are solid white. How can I make them to be solid even in distance like there are when I zoom in. ?!Thanx. Sorry for my bad english.

How to have a beautiful sky WITHOUT using a skin ...
Thanks for helping
In branding.zip i created a folder with name gfx. In this folder put the sky_xx.bmp and sun_xx.bmp pictures and change the line in color.ini on your favorite scheme like this...
[other]
texture="gfx/night/texture.spr"
sun="gfx/night/sun.spr"
sky="gfx/night/sky.spr"
heightcolormap="nightheightcolormap.bmp"
background_picture_0="gfx/sky_night.bmp"
sun_picture_0 = "gfx/moon.bmp"
This is for night scheme. For day scheme you must put the other pictures for day and change day scheme with same solution.

three days I'm trying to start igo 8 R3 series on my htc Tytn II but no luck. I get no errors but it freeze on the screen where it says starting. I was waiting more than 30 minutes and nothing.
What is the problem? Can someone solve this problem.
Thanks
Hi all,
Does anyone have a solution for this. I have a HTC Kaiser TyTN II (Vodafone v1615). I reckon the problem is because I am running with a modded running CE OS 5.2.19209 (Build 19209.1.0.2). My guess is that there is some form of incompatability with some roms - see http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=255&t=46283&p=257339&hilit=kaiser+starting# post #2114
Can anyone confirm a working standard or modded rom for the Kaiser ?
