bonsoir,

Hi FileFixer
Thank you for the help

raoulseca wrote:Hello all,

I have an HTC touch pro (raphael) phone and I'd like to have IGO8 8.32 run on it.

I have downloaded iGO8 8.32.64873 which is 18.1 megs and supposed to be cracked with a licence file in it, installed it on the memory card of the phone and 1 map (france).

The problem is that when I start the program i get to the welcome screen for about 1 minute, then I see "init API", then "languages" and then it crashes back to the desktop.

I have read this post but I am lost and I don't understand what to do...can someone tell me what files are needed to start the program, right now I the only file in my content folder is tha french map, I have no language file, no voice file and so on....

Thanks for the help

First of all, you probably need to change your license file in "iGO8\license" with one of THESE.
Second, you MUST put at least one language file in your "iGO8\Content\lang" folder, and at least one voice file in your "iGO8\Content\voice" folder.
Download them from HERE (near the end of the opening post) or here: Languages, Voices.

I upload my complete iGO8 folder from SD card without *.dem, *.3dl, *.poi and *.fbl files (3d terain, buildings, POI, maps). Inside archive i created two scheme files for day and night (Yellow day, True Blue) and archive include Gurjon skin v5.9. Sys.txt is modified for speed and usability. Second modify is startup screen and progress bar. This is work version of iGO v8.3.2.64873. Install files which is not included in archive, start the iGo.exe icon and drive.
If you want, maybe you just reconfigure Sys.txt file. For me and MyGuide 4300 this version work very fast and stable.

Enjoy.

Why don't you simply use the native resolution of your device ? VGA ...

... and you should look a solution for your performance issue, but in VGA ! Have you tried the different values to set in sys.txt. (Search for ... button)

I'm having issues here and maybe someone can help. I put this on my V7 NAV720 and it runs, but the route button is disabled (grayed out). Any ideas? Also, trying to use this in the US, are the licenses for EU only?

That is probably because you do not have an active route yet.
Use "Find" to define your destination first.

The licenses are world wide (USA and Europe for sure).

Hello all,
Can someone tell me the proper file structure for the Igo 8 R3 series. I was getting a map out of date error on start up but that seems to be fixed. Now I am getting a no language files found error message. I have language files in \Storage Card\IGO8\content\lang. What about TTS - where should it go? Can IGO reconize these files unzipped? File structure would be appreciated since I could not find anything on that in the forum. Just like to make sure everthing is in the correct place.

THIS post directs you to the threads and download locations of more licenses (in case iGO crashes immediately when it loads, or maps other than USA and Europe are locked), voices and languages.

Always (unless specifically said) leave files unzipped (voices, languages, skins, schemes, etc.).

TTS should go in 3 places:
  • iGO8
  • iGO8\tts_loq
  • iGO8\Content\Voice

Just follow the exact structure of the downloaded TTS archive.
