Thanks for the info. I did have the voice folder in the wrong place although moving it did not change the results, still getting language files not found error message. I'm sure I am missing some dll files since the only dll file I have is "gpstmc.dll" which I suspect I do not need since I do not have TMC. I have seen other dll files referenced in this forum but where to find them and where should they be placed? Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Got IGO8 v8.3.2.64873 (Nov 13 2008) working on my C520. TTS is working as well. Now to checkout some of the cool looking data.zip files. Should they be put into skins folder or the root?

Hello,

I loaded a IGO8 on the Internet and put them at the root of my Storage Card.
I had 2 files:
- 2577 with AUTORUN.exe and autorun_8.nng
- iGo8 with all the stuff.

When I run AUTORUN.exe, it install me icon Nav n Go Igo 8 in Programs (and also Uninstal Nav N Go iGo .

When I select icon Nav N go Igo 8 nothing is happening.

What is the problem ?I have to patch something ?
How can i know the exact version of this Igo into my device ?

Hi! I have spent quite a while trying to make this work with my HTC Diamond Touch, but no success. Different errors came up: SD card wanted, ini api error after which it simply exits. Tried modifying sys.txt (adding the folder mod, and adding the sdcard_dsk_num=7 mod), and tried several licences (sept 25, nov. 13)
Could someone please link me a post, which helps, because i haven't found anything.

@barrywells: put the skin(s) in the following folder: igo8/content/skin. If you don't have the "skin" folder, create it.
@fireangel: just go outside and get a GPS signal. The button will show immediately.

Anyone else noticed that TMC stopped working? It shows TMC available, but no events. Also in Licenses no more TMC license, however all the .lic files are there.
What could it be? Perhaps it expired?

hi, i have got this working perfectly on my touch diamond. you need to put the files in your 'internal storage' then you need to edit the sys.txt file to say

app="Internal Storage/iGO8"

then it looks in the right place for it. mine works absolutely flawlessly. so i can definitely recommend this software for the touch diamond

Hello everyone;

Has anyone managed to run this soft (preferably the newest version) on eten glofiish m700? I have windows m6.0 (official eten release). After istallation it shows "loading API" or something similar to this, and turns off immediately. Next try shows "previous instance of iGO8 has not finished yet. Please try again in a few seconds or soft-reset your device".

Of course there is no use waiting, device has to be reset.
Any help would be much appreciated as I am new here. Perhaps there is something to add or delete from sys.txt file?

did u use this exact release? did u not change anything, but the sys.txt, and copy the very same thing to the internal storage root, into the iGO8 folder? Just one thing, cos i might have got wrong: does the sys.txt have to ONLY have that code and delete everything else, or where shall i add those those two lines just somewhere? Because i have added those lines, downloaded this, and exactly the same thing happens, as with sfinks2! INI API --> crashes.

Looks like I found the solution. The matter was in missing licence files, and minimum one required file for map, voices and lanmguage.
