I can not quite your comment, it is clear that I set the lighting to be durable. I always had to set to this value, it is just interesting that the previous version treadeth 100% better!

mildis, believe me or not. 8.3.2.x also this january version, runs perfectly fine, not updating only once per second. You must have some settings fucked up. I could reproduce that 1 FPS behavior. As soon as I DON'T have that energy option set to "Backlight always on" my performance drops to what you mentioned, screen updates like 1 time a second, more a slideshow.
As soon as I have Backlight always on set, my performance is absolutely fine.

Try not to use "%SDCARD%" string but the real name of the card folder (can be seen via File Explorer).
So if it's called as "Storage Card" and iGO folder is in its root:

[folders]
app="Storage Card/iGO8"

The database problem is because sys.txt and data.zip do not match. If you have a version that worked before, try to run the new executable without updating any other files.

i've got it installed but no street names. When people say TTS does that mean it only tells you when to turn and how many KM before you turn or does it include announcing street names?
