@ trotter
i´ve NOT asked for it. I have just refreshed the saying of someone asking, why the seemingly more actual version has not been cracked. that´s all.

I don´t need it,
i´m not the one who can´t wait for it.

so PLEASE think twice before offending people. That is rude.

it works great on my P350
fast fps rate, menu animation, TTS and have to take a look if TMC work (i´am sure it will).

import contacts not working but ;
Installed version on PDA : v8.3.2.64029 (Nov 7 2008)
SD :In Igo folder exe v8.3.2.71348 (Jan 7 2009) + data (Jan 7 2009) + branding v8.3.2.64029 (more then 500 poi icons).

first add the contact, after that run installed version (64029)and iGO will import your contacts.
so you can import to this version (71348)

The little black dot shows your exact location according to the acquired coordinates from your GPS chip.

Since the common GPS chips on the market, and especially the built-in ones on PDAs/PNAs, are not so accurate (usually about 10-15 meters precision), iGO (and other navigation softwares) knows how to correct this misplacement, and put the navigation cursor on the nearest road, so you won't see on your map that you are driving on air/houses/off-road etc., when this is not the case.
In fact, the placement algorithem is much more sophisticated than that: in very crowded cities or settlement, where sometimes the distance between parallel streets can be less than 5 meters, iGO is also helped in your last location data, as well as your last direction and velocity when calculating your position on the map, so your location won't be jumped every second like crazy from street to street without actually moving, making navigation invalid.

This feature is called in iGO8: "Keep Position on Road", and can be found under: "Settings -> Navigation" menu.
Try to turn it off, and see for yourself the difference while navigating.

hey thanks for the help but still have 1 more problem. My iGo works perfectly when it is executed inside the folder but I want to create a shortcut for it to show in my programs menu so that I can add it to my programs tab on my HTC Jade. I tried creating a shortcut and putting it inside "windows/start menu/programs" but whenever I run the shortcut from the start menu/programs I get the "database error". And if this helps, here is my sys.txt

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[map]
2dheadup=1

Can someone guide me through this last step? Thanks
