Anyhow the vast majority of us has bought a device with a licensed navigation program inside but, lately we found that we have NO possibility to upgrade or to install legally maps or navigation programs (bought separately) because the device is UNSUPPORTED by the NNG and the store assure just the service NOT the upgrade. So we are forced to use "modified" programs that allow us to use the new maps.


Second: I have nothing about using the native language to PRIVATE communication but, if we wrote in a multinational forum, we MUST choose a commonly accepted language which all can understand. It's my opinion.

Hi folkz,

After a long time I've got some free time today and I decided to play around a bit with the latest iGO8 v8.3.2.74290, version that so many of you have asked for and look what I have come up with



Yes, you see it right! I managed to get it work with the old good Worldwide Generic license supporting all devices, all maps and even TMC Pro service in certain European countries Next step would be maybe a complete license generator (if I find some time in the future), that will generate such a worldwide licenses working with all future iGO releases using current license algo without touching the executable itself. Since I have publicly stepped back from patching I will not post it here or share my patch with anyone, so please do not PM me about releasing this patch or giving it for testing. However, I will share my findings with SkyRocker, and if he decides to publish it here, it's just up to him...

Volna egy kérdésem,de sajnos csak magyarul megy.. Senkinek nem tűnt fel,hogy Sept.12 verzió óta nem jó semelyik szoftver sem?! A Balaton déli partján a körforgalmaknál,soha nem azt mondja amit mutat..ha a második kijáraton kell kimenni,akkor az elsőt mondja... Valami ötlet? Köszi!

i found one bug: no matter which data.zip or branding.zip use, when try run v8.3.2.71348 with SpeedCams West & East Europe for iGO 8 : 06-01-2009 on device with free 30-40 mb ram got error for not enough memory

device with free 64 mb ram and more, no any problems

same problem is with SpeedCams -FULL EU- for iGO8 - 31.01.2009 (Countries listed)

i don't have this problem, i also have 64 mb ram.

I have the same problem. Never had issues before but with the Jan 7th version I have out of memory on startup/building the database. I use a Asus R700. Anyone have any suggestions?
(I already deleted unused resolutions but it does not seem to help.)

It did not recognize the speedcams probably. I think it's official to say that this version can not handle speedcams on devices with less than 64Mb.

Same here. I'm using the speedam zip file "SpeedCams West & East Europe for iGO 8 : 06-01-2009 " with the latest v8.3.2.71348 and I also get an Out Of Memory warning when I first run iGo on my TyTN II following the insertion of the speedcam.zip for the first time into contents/speedcam. I presume this is why I also am not seeing the Speedcams option on the warning menu. Does anyone know of a cure for this?

my device when start fresh it install the speedcams, i must wait about 4 minutes.
Then i go to settings> then warnings > then ther is no button to turn on speedcams.......

In older version i can select speedcams
so what is the problem ?

Pardon me my ignorance but where can I find all the maps?

I downloaded iGO8.Jan.07.2009 but when I try to open it on my device it says : "Initialization error; no language files were found".
