I have to ask this here because I know it will get the most exposure this way. I am looking for an app for my Mio C230 (PNA Win CE 5) that will display NYC subway info and tell you what subway stations/routes to take (GPS capabilities not critical) and I haven't seen anything in Igo8 that will help. The first thought I had was a mobile version of Google Maps and I found one on these forums, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with my Windows software. I tried to CAB install it and got the message about CAB not being a valid Win CE CAB setup file. Are there any compatible alternatives or is there a way to get Google Maps to work with my C230?

Who knows if another NEWER version than 8.3.2.74290 is out ????????????????????

I just found a workaround for "parking lot freezing" problem. Before you leave parking lot, just move the map so it does not follow the GPS. Then iGO will NOT freeze.

I guess that means the problem is related to display. Now I am thinking if we can modify data.zip to force certain behavior.

Also did some more test on Contact importing. True, 71348 will NOT import new contacts. However, if certain contacts have been imported before, you can update the addresses for those contacts and they will appear in iGO 8.

I am running the newest Jan 7th version of iGo8 R3 on a Navigon 2200. Ive seen some great improvement in both accuracy and speed. I was VERY excited when I killed the power to the car the first time and it began the 10 second countdown to shutdown and it actually shut down. I was disappointed though when I woke it back up... it was fine until it got a Sat lock then it would crash and I would have to restart the program... anyone know what may be causing that... I did a FRESH install of everything including maps, poi's and buildings. I have turned off Menu Animation and the only thing I have from older versions of IGO are my favorites. Any ideas on how to correct this problem or if it is a known issue to be fixed in a later version?

Very interesting... I will give this a try when I leave work on Monday (that is where I can easily experience the problem) and report back.

I've tried Metro and had trouble with it because with the version I have made for my C230, the buttons are really small, and it was not very user friendly. I am hoping to find something like Google Maps if possible for a Mio C230 type device that doesn't require ActiveSync to install it (just the program & files in a directory). I installed the 8.3.2.XX version and i have a strange problem. When ever i am in a text input field it keeps on adding a junk character(a rectangle box) and an input sound(just like when you tap on keyboard) every 2-3 seconds. so i couldnt enter any address/number correctly as its all had a box in between the letters. I tried all exes and data.zip and different zip but no help. The navigation works great but no TTS. i was using the 8.0 version on the same PNA with TTS without any issues.

can some body help me with this pls.... Plsssssssssssssssss

thnks for your reply, this issue is only happening with 8.3 . 8.0 version work fine and no issue at alll... so belive its a bug in 8.3 version.... i am looking for a solution if any body has it...

As far as I'm concerned, I'm just interested in a new version if contacts import works again.

Lolita, SkyRocker seems lo like to boil us in own juice because this is the ONLY explanation of that delay in publish the new release. Maybe somebody find somewhere this new release (or the OFFICIAL release of 8.3 promised by NNG) and managed to crack it.

Yes I know that SR or JM or anybody else didn't owes us nothing and we (the rest of us which didn't know very much about reverse engineering) have to be thankful but is so simple do didn't spoke about a thing if you have no intention to offer new details. You are taking their very hard work as granted (at least it looks to reader like that, and it is very unpleasant), and you even don't know what are you so impatience about - you don't know what are the differences between the versions !

Let them have all the time they need (or want), as this job is not easy, and I'm sure they want to make a high quality release, as well as I'm sure they will release the new version as soon as possible when it is ready.
