The Navteq 2008.Q2 for Europe also contained nearly no speed limits - so which maps are you using?

Installation Instructions

hi,

i have Mio C720 with MioMap v3.3.Unfortunately there is not an updated map since 01.2008. So I’m looking to install IGO 8.3.x.x. on a SD card. I read all the pots on this topic and I don’t find a step by step tutorial.

I’m looking to install Romanian map, and also Romanian menus and voices.

Can you help me with this?

you are wrong. You can find maps for miomap 3.3 from 10.2008 but if you want the NEWEST map for Romania (Q4 2008) you have 2 choices: 1. install iGO8.0.... (8.3 have map from 7.2008) or 2. install viaGPS Mireo 3.0 vith Romania plus (map from 12.2008). Enjoy.

I always see a lot of people getting this error message and asking what to do:
"ERROR: program application database cannot be found...."

This simply means igo can not find the data.zip (application database) or what we call the skin. By default, if you do not have sys.txt file, the data.zip should be in the same location/folder as the igo.exe or igo8.exe or whatever exe you rename it to.

On the sys.txt, there is a section called [folder]. If there is an APP entry as in:
APP = "\Storage Card\igo8"
then, your data.zip should be in this location. Usually, for an igo release, the executable is always on the same folder as the data.zip. So if you get the above error, look in the sys.txt file folder section and check if there is : APP = "some-location". If that is different from the folder where you installed igo, simply delete the line or put ; in column 1 of the line.

Ok, but on Mio site (http://service.mio.com/M0100/MainFrame. ... letype=map) i cannot find the map you mentioned from 10.2008 do you have idea where can I find it?
For the alternative with IGO 8.0 or Mireo 3.0 where can I find instructions?

i put the soft on the memory card and also put the files from content ,,and just can run the program,,..

....and what help do you wanna? ...if you ask about how to make iGO work on different platforms on this forum you can find many.
xJustice: what kind of program you use depend on.....taste and the maps available for what you want.
