I could use some assistance if someone is willing. I have installed all the proper files to run on my HTC Touch Pro (maps, voices, languages, poi...etc). I launch just fine, and I can go into the navigation screen etc. It does not zero in on my location though and as such cant be used to navigate. I have checked the gps signal screen and its not picking up anything.When in the GPS Status screen I show no bars. At the very bottom there is a satelite with a small red bar and 3 blinking smaller bars to the right of it. Everything else has no info. I run Amigo fine, as well as tomtom and a host of other navigators. They all pick up signal fine. What am I missing? Thanks guys.

Could anybody give me an explanation to the observation that this latest igo version is 83157 and its build is 84390. How does it go?
Where did you observe this? My version shows 83157 in about screen.
Exactly, but at trying the debated 2009.02 map the device reset and I found the build was 84390 in the crash txt.

In userdata\POI i have few kml files from http://index.pois.gr/ Everything is ok with it before second start (when IGO creates KST, KNS and KIX files). After that all of my own icons (in added poi_*_rect) are lost. There are not any kml pois icon on map and when searching (search poi) - there are not in one group but separately without any icons.
The only solution in this time is delete any files in userdata\POI except kml files before start IGO and after that assign icons to POI - does anybody has any idea how to fix this problem?
Is it a problem with IGO or KML file structure?
The latest iGO8 versions need a different KML structure, here is an example for three groups of POI in three separate folders, only one POI is shown in each folder group to make it clearer:Code: Select all<kml>
<Folder>
<name>My Folder 1</name>
<Placemark>
<name>Example POI for Folder 1</name>
<Point>
<coordinates>2.00000,50.00000,0</coordinates>
</Point>
</Placemark>
.....
.....
.....
.....
</Folder>
<Folder>
<name>My Folder 2</name>
<Placemark>
<name>Example POI for Folder 2</name>
<Point>
<coordinates>2.00000,50.00000,0</coordinates>
</Point>
</Placemark>
.....
.....
.....
.....
</Folder>
<Folder>
<name>My Folder 3</name>
<Placemark>
<name>Example POI for Folder 3</name>
<Point>
<coordinates>2.00000,50.00000,0</coordinates>
</Point>
</Placemark>
.....
.....
.....
.....
</Folder>
</kml>
This also works in previous iGO8 versions.
That´s a way, another way is to create your own pois. I have 180 imported pois & icons in my userdat/poi folder and they are working properly since 8.3.2. 64*** version.
http://www.htcspain.com/foro-f139/creac ... 18338.html
(You will need translation of google for instructions and a page of poi & icons of your country)
Now I´m using 8.3.2 83*** version & works very good on my omnia. I can say that GPS emplacement is more exact than previous versions and makes calculation of routes faster.
Cheers...................

Hi there and thx for the good work - but still have a little problem:
The program start, shows the startscreen, the words "lauch api" appears at the bottom - and then nothing more ...
Windows Explorer comes back ...
(I changed the sys.txt as discribed ...)
Any idea?
Thx, Epi

Try this in your sys.txt.
[debug]
no_file_cache="1"
cache=4096
reserve_memory=2000000
Maybe this will help[/quote]

igo is seeing them but when i try to search them igo doesn't find any of my pois. i can select them on the map. i can see them in the management menu. they are activated but igo refuse to find them "find a poi". i am stuck, don't no what to do, tried everything. i deleted the save folder, i deleted the .kmz and .kix files. but nothing works. please help ppcwarez, you are my only hope

Hello all. I just got the Omnitech from Staples today. Trying to figure out how to get the iGo8 sw on there. have done as some suggested and copied all files/folders to Destination. Renamed file to Destinator. when i go to turn the device on, it just hangs at System Loading screen. Any ideas/help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Hi!
The latest iGO8 versions need a different KML structure.
Use the service on ashu's site from *.kml to convert the user.upoi file (found in iGO8\save folder):

this file is missing in your lang file, try to download another one or change it?
I unzipped the files for a few of my language files. They all have the file in question within the folder. Something isnt right.
