@doncorleone: Simply rename the "iGo8" folder on your SD to "Mobilenavigator", then rename "iGo8.exe" to "mobilenavigator.exe", change (if needed) the appplication path in SYS.TXT and that is all - iGo will start when you tap the "Navigation" button in the main menu.

How to display the progerss bar in the bottom of the loading.bmp?
I previously used the 8.3.2.73871 Jan 25 2008 version and it was there.
I also checked the previous sys.txt to see whether there was a command line there - there wasn't.

Reading the previous post regarding sys.txt tips, I found a section which contained what seemed to be the appropriate commands, but when I inserted them into sys.txt- igo8 wouldn't start, and I received an error saying that it couldn't find the file ui_igo8\loading_progressbar.bmp.

These are the commands I inserted:
[loading]
loading_bmp="loading.jpg"
progressbar_bmp="loading_progressbar.bmp"
progressbar_x=85
progressbar_y=134
show_progressbar=0
show_statustext=1

I have a Tilt and am using the iGO_8.3.2.83157 version which was posted in another thread yesterday (in 2 parts), and am unable to find that thread now.

Thanks.

Hi metosim,

you obviously don't have the loading_progressbar.bmp file in your DATA.ZIP.
you can simply check it with a simple search.
btw I also don't have it in mine :)

Happy independence day.

Thank you to Teon, dadoremix and monkey12 for your help and replies. iGo is now showing the correct version number.
I do have one more problem though.
TTS is not working on April 3rd version. I am using the same TTS files I used with March 10th version. The are the iGo files released by Jetmouse...

In most cases it helped me to select a "normal" (non TTS) voice first, wait for the vocal announcement and after that select the TTS voice.

Otherwise check your proper TTS installation again (dll and TTS voice files) and folder structure(s).

Hi:
Oddly enough, the NON-tts voices are audible, but the TTS voices aren't!
How in the world is that possible? For example, if I select Susan (which is tts), I hear nothing, but if I select Amy (which is non-tts) I can hear her speaking. The same applies to the male voices.
Pretty crazy huh?!

cincy1020 - you must be missing DLLs or something...TTS Susan is working fine here (Mio C310x WinCE 4.2)...only thing I did was copy the newer igo8.exe over the 8.3.2.80621 version. File comparison showed all the other files were the same between the two versions.

Thank you, JoJoHal.

I had this progress bar in the previous version I used, it was useful.
Don't know whether I can use a differerent DATA.ZIP file with this version, and what other changes I'd need to do if I did so.

The progressbar.bmp is in the branding.zip. Use the old one and (I hope) you have the progressbar back.

Hmmm
I replaced the branding.zip with the previous one, and now I don't have the progress bar. Strange, I could swear I had it...
