I'm just trying to install the latest version on my HTC Tytn II - i've copied everything from the .rar file to my SD Card into Program Files/iGO folder, and when started the iGO.exe to install the program, got the following message - "Error - Program application database cannot be found. Please insert original application SD card."

Um?

This is pretty urgent!

Thanks in advance!

edit - i followed these instructions -

If you got this popup message when you trying to starting up the program from the very first time: Program application database cannot be found !!

Solution is:

[folders]
#app="%SDCARD%/iGO"

Then remove the Save Folder from the iGO map on your SD Card!!

I've added "#" mark in front of the app="%SDCARD%/iGO" line, but when i start the iGO.exe, "save" directory keeps recreating it self.

I got the message - "The application failed to start last time. Do you want to reset to factory defaults and lose all your POIs, tracks and settings?"

I've chosen both YES and NO.

Either way, i get the following message - "Initalization error: no language files were found"

Hm, hm, hm...

HELP!

Put a language file in your Language folder.

@Jetmouse, Twingo and Others:

Just want to ask if it is possible to force Igo8 and Amigo via the sys.txt. to automatically search for gps port instead of using what is set in the program setting?

The reason i am asking this is that i use two different pna devices and their gps ports are set and baud rates are set differently. And whenever i switch devices i just to want to be editing the sys.txt all the time since i don't always carry my notebook with me.

My devices have currently have the following settings:

DEVICE 1:
port=2
baud=57600

DEVICE 2:
port=1
baud=57600

Thx.

So I try for 2 days to install this version of igo on my mio P350 withe windows 5. The installer works fine and the soft is launching. I can even select my language, my voice but when it goes back to the splash screen for initialisation, when it comes to POI manager init , it gets stucked. I have read it might take some time to update the POI. But I wait for 3 hours and nothing happened… I trashed the POI to avoid the soft to load it (so no file in the /content/POI folder). But same old stucked screen. Anyone might have a solution for my troubles ?

Delete Save folder and sys.txt, power on the GPS and your settings are good.

You want to swap your card with the software? Maybe just delete the appropriate lines from sys.txt and system.ini in the "Save" folder and make the files read only. It's just an idea..

@navifan:

Thought about this too. But the thing is, if you delete the line in system.ini in save folder and you rung the software the software automatically stores this gps fix location and data in the system.ini and if i swap the device later, this setting in system ini from the other device will still be there making the software a bit "nervous" when trying to search for gps setting for the second device.......
