Then i go into the GPS-Config i can not press the GPS-Search Icon in the down right - it´s colored grey :(

What I need? What i must to do?

Befor I used a older version of iGO8.3 and it works without problems but it don´t works this the new german.fbl so I would like to switch the version.

Thanks @ll - hope someone can follow my mind ;)

In sys.txt you must have:

[interface]
resolution_dir="400_240"
vga=1

[rawdisplay]
class="landscape"
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
high_res=1

I am using the June 8 version of iGo.
I have tried several TTS packages, but am not having luck.
I have tried several from viewtopic.php?f=257&t=54842&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=300,
including the one byt nFKT, and Kamoteka.
With both I am unable to get Susan or Dave to work. The only voice I am able to get to work is Amy, but she does not announce street names, or which side of the street things are on.
Can someone please post a working TTS package for June 8th version? I would prefer for it to say street names and side of road.
I would really be grateful!
Thanks!

I'm willing to bet your problem isn't the voices at all - it's probably available RAM, i.e. Memory Usage. I can't get the TTS voices to work without having TouchFLO 3D disabled. Try this - disable TF3D, soft reset, and then try iGO, before doing anything else. See if the TTS works then. If so, then you need to look into something like TFDetacher.

I've been installing the whole stuff slowly around the nav_jun_8 (or so) naked IGO downloaded here. When I install maps I have a problem, some of them cause crashes, others make me scoll down the whole EULA-text each time I start Igo. Yes, it is only the Maps I change, all of those Maps are from the same post, some of different Providers though. How can I stop that? The files that cause crashes are probably corrupt, but what about that silly EULA-scrolling?

I've tried replacing those strings with an editor. in igo.exe i've found one occurence of _GER and one _SUI - but no _AUT (with the exceptions in _AUTO or _AUTOMATIC, but that can't be it, right?

Anyway, no success - no speedcams are displayed, no option in the menu where it should be. what am i doing wrong?

Do you have the speedcams.txt file into igo8 > content > speedcams directory? Otherwise there is nothing to be shown! :)

Thanks for that info. So you're saying I can see speedcams only if I've got a valid GPS-signal and then switch it on in the menu afterwards? I've been trying without GPS so far and it doesn't show up neither on the map nor in the menu, nor did it create an updated speedcam.spdb. Is that normal behavior? I can't test with GPS signal at the moment...

May someone help me with that other problem:

It gets really annoying, almost each time i copy something in my map folder IGO keeps showing me the EULA-text on startup + asks about simple or advanced mode afterwards. That doesn't stop until i remove the regarding maps. How can I prevent this?

Hi all,

I've encountered a strange behaviour when using iGo : after using the software for some days, the adress search now always autotypes two characters, "Aa". If I delete them, the two characters are retyped imidiately.

Lokks for me like some kind of copy protection.

Anyone with the same problem? Any solutions?

Device: MDA Compact V (Touch Diamond 2)
Nav.Version: 8.3.2.93112

Thanks in advance,
Caroline

The first problem: Try to make a route planning between two points and simulate the navigation. i think speedcam funcion will be apperared in the menu.
For second: Is this in your sys.txt?

[debug]
skip_eula=1

For the maps it's possible a licence problem. Witch one is in your licence folder?
Sorry for my bad english..
