Every since around 96054 I noticed that my LEX rules in the TTS_LOQ directory aren't working. That is, I have corrections for some pronunciations and they are seemingly ignored now. I had modified the "\TTS_LOQ\EnglishUs\EnglishUs6.9.lex" file using lexconv.exe make it plain text then covert it back.
This had been working just fine and I never modify the TTS_LOQ directory when upgrading the iGo8 software. My TTS_LOQ directory is the same as it was 5 months ago. Any ideas why this doesn't work anymore?

Does this works with PDAs with higher resolutions ?! 8)

Works fine with my X1.

You need to use LZF's data.zip from here viewtopic.php?f=255&t=56295&hilit=data

If you read FIRST post even...
This is written there in bold that data(.zip) file packed with this release supports ONLY 320x240 and 480x272.
If you need other resolutions you have two possibilities: to wait untill JetMouse (or somebody ele here) will release a new one or to use any older. Please note also that using other data(.zip) you will loose an additional functionality (driver alarm) added with the latest release...

Thanks for your reply. There is nothing wrong with roundaboutcam.
That's an excellent topic and will prove very useful, however, roundaboutcam is not what I am referring to...............

With iGO8 R3, the new Dimka Tomsoft v1.1.24c skin has a clever little 2D that shows up roundabouts nicely. The 2D window appears as you approach the next turn point.

Just I have to disagree at this point with you and the thing is that I hardly dunno why. I explain my case;

I have been running all updates of the softwares published from JM and SR since I came across the data from the official softwares for PDAS (8.3.2. 64029) and never had any problem nor issue when running the program, using this data with PDA and PDA/PNA versions.
Even with this version 8.3.4. 102680 everything works great with skins that does not contain the ending extension _da.
And the most interesting and curious of all that, I tried to rename the ui_igo8 file of my old datazip into ui_igo8_da and what was my surprise that igo did not recognize the function "driver alerts" and however without touching anything of the datazip it does.

Does anyone understand anything or am I getting crazy or something ?? !

Hi guys!
i've just tried to install iGo8 (Aug 13 2009) on my new Omnia II.
I get this error message:
"Program application database cannot be found. Please insert Original application SD card"

I tried to edit sys.txt in the [folders] area , but still get the same message!

Any ideas ? :)

thanx

I am having a really hard time getting TTS to work on my Navigon 5100max device. I have igo8 version v8.3.2.96054 for PNA installed. The non-TTS voices (Amy, Dave) work, however the TTS voice doesn't work at all. If someone has managed to get TTS on igo8 working on their Navigon device, can you please point me to the TTS package or upload it.

Thanks,
jakas

Did anyone came across the following problem? After installing 8/13 version, my TTS voices became mute. I had to change to non TTS voices. On top- now , when i try to change regional setting the application crashes with a message: "failed to open file: big_flag_isl.bmp".

I tried running with given data and branding zip. I tried with data.zip V10b (and branding), and it happens. What is even more confusing, now my June 25th app does the same.

I run a touch HD...

Any idea? I keep the same sys.txt. is it there?

Note that the dll's for CE4.2 also work with CE5, just not the other way around. Convenient if you have both.
