Cpied over the Aug files, deleted the licence key, Copied the latest branding.zip and the data.zip over and reinstalled .. but should show auguest 2009 but still shows may 2009? is this your issue or the other helpful guy please? thanks adi

Did you copy igo8.exe to your device memory? That is the one that is actually executed, not the one on the SD card.

What kind of screen resolution do you have probably one of the two supported ones of the first page no?

For sort buttons in Favorites ui_igo8/480_272/ui/favorite_480_272.ui:
in SYS.TXT you need to set this for keeping Home and Work on top:

I use on my unit (HarmanKardon) only this line in the sys.txt:

sdcardpath="\\SDMMC\\"

I have the program, languages, voices and more in the internal memory and on the SD-Card a folder "igo8" and in this the "content" folder with maps and pois.
I dont no if this will work also with other units.

You are so right - I always tried to use two different folders on the SDCard, which did not work.

But you may indeed use this setting to use a secondary content folder, which is being merged then. You would have to create some folder "shared\iGO8\content\map" and set

It is working in such a way on my MIO C720 without any special specification in SYS.TXT.
I have following "root" iGo8 folder: My Flash Disk/Miomap/Miomap (it is internal memory); there is iGo8.exe, Content, License etc. inside. On SD Card you should have an iGo8/Content folder (and you should name it exactly "iGo8/Content"!) - anything inside this folder will be merged to the "internal" Content items and iGo will use both the Contents' content.

But be sure you have no empty "speedcam" folder inside SD Card/iGo8/Content directory. If you have it, iGo during the first start will make an empty SPEEDCAMUPDATES.SPUD file inside it and will prefer it - so you will see no more speedcams in the map (untill you will delete the whole SD Card/Content/Speedcam folder).
