That's already my guess all the time.

are you guys SURE of this that TA maps won't work with this new feature?? I REALLY REALLY don't want to go back to NT maps. isn't there a thread somewhere on easily changing between them by just restarting? some sort of script or something i vaguely remember seeing...

There is extension from Gurjon
In this extension is a MapChanger
With this you can easy change between them
iGO8 restart automatically if you change

I don't know if these AddOns is tested with v090602 TA or v090722 TA
Maybe somebody can tell me

I use the Gurjon version that has a different resolution then yours, with this new iGo version..and it seems to work normally.

Gurjon release skin 6.10.1 with the option to get
a sound when driver alerts are showing on the map
iGO8 is getting better and better

What map are you using ? I've try a USA, Canada, Hungary maps non of them work for me ..

I want to try the Navteq map with the driver alerts
can somebody tell me what the newest release is from Navteq Europe and where you can get them. Also there is a overview site were you compare them NT and TA how big they are.

Try these

Single maps, look for country NV 2009.Q1 (only WE maps !)

You can also keep using the POI, building and dem files from Teleatlas packages.
