Yea Larry you give it an answer to yourself. You ONLY have a car that is why you using a "Car" option. But you know actually I have a Truck too, and I'm not the only one.
An other thing the Truck option give a lot more information and warning than a car option
and probably this is a reason why soo many people interesting about.

Find Kilmorie Road in Birmingham and pick Intersection with Stockfield Road and set this as the start then pick Fox Hollies Road, Birmingham and pick the intersection with the Stratford Road.
Simulate the route and immediatley you should see a warning sign and as you follow the route you will see several school crossing signs.
Also I can confirm these work with the latest GJ 6.10.1p_da skin

I have tried to get this working on my Mio710. I have the latest 8.3.4, with JM's Addons licence along with the World Wide licence and TA map 2009.06, both default Data.zip on its own and GJ 6.10.1p with no warnings on your route. I am running IGO from the flash mem and all the content from SD card.
I wonder if you could detail your setup including which files are in what folder etc. Any special settings in Sys.txt or any other .ini files?

im very new to IGO8 what i would like to know is will the latest version (or any version) work on my generic CE 4.2 device which has a 7" screen and a resolution of 480x234, thanks in advance.

Definitely, iGO8 version 8.3.2.xxxx onward will not work on WinCE 4.2 device.
Well it doesn't works on my anyway.

Nearly all versions of iGO work with WinCE 4.2, most of the time you just need to compress the executable with UPX before copying to the PNA. (Don't know why this happens exactly, tho. Maybe WinCE 4.2 can not load executables with more than 4MB in size or something?)

If not compressed, you'll receive the famous "igo8 is not a valid windows ce application" error dialog.

Tnx a billion times :) i can't believe that was a problem :) , tnx God for you :)!

Big greeetz!

You will need the Navteq maps (2009.Q1) in either case. DA function doesn't work with TA maps.

vovi wrote:The reason is (most probably) in the speed of MIO × SD Card communication. Each combination of specific card and specific iGo version gives specific results. As I wrote before, you can:

1) Find a combination of SD Card and iGo8 release with correct behavior

2) Run iGo8 directly from your MFD using "original" Miomap button. It is quite simple:
- copy the whole iGO8 folder content into My Flash Disk/Miomap/Miomap directory (not the iGo8 folder itself, only the content ... iGo8.EXE, Content and License folders etc...)
- make sure you have no valid lines in the [folders] section in SYS.TXT except of
app="My Flash Disk/Miomap/Miomap"
- to the Program Files folder copy the TXT file named "ppath.txt" (without quotes, of course) with following content:
Code: Select all; ppath.txt for C520
; ==================
[MioMap]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\Miomap.exe
[MioMap]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\iGO8.exe

[Audio]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\Mp3Player.exe
[Audio]\windows\Mp3Player.exe

[Pictures]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\PictureViewer.exe
[Pictures]\windows\PictureViewer.exe

[Contacts]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\Contact.exe
[Contacts]\windows\Contact.exe

[MobilePhone]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\MioBTM.exe
[MobilePhone]\windows\MioBTM.exe

[EarPhone]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\MioBTM.exe
[EarPhone]\windows\MioBTM.exe

[Tools]<SUB1>
[Calculator]<CHILD1>\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\Calculator.exe
[Calculator]<CHILD1>\windows\Calculator.exe

[FileManager]<CHILD1>\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\FileManager.exe
[FileManager]<CHILD1>\windows\FileManager.exe
[BACK]<CHILD1>

[Setting]\My Flash Disk\Miomap\Miomap\Settings.exe
[Setting]\windows\Settings.exe

And that is all - now you can run iGo8 by simple clicking on the "Miomap" icon :-)
Maps, buldings, etc you can place both into "internal" content folder, or make on any SD card the folder named iGO8/Content .... your "internal" iGo will automatically look for the content items to both folders without any additional lines in SYS.TXT.

I do not see any Program Files folder or windows folder
on my Flash disk... am i missing something?

@ Monkey12
Thanks for that. I'll givethe NV maps a try out later. I have found in the past that TA maps seem to have much better lane guidance in the UK than the NV maps so I'd rather not use the NV maps, but I'll give it a go anyway.

Using IGO 8.3.2 AND 8.3.4 all versions
I have this problem when a SD card is in the PNA:
When I pass from suspend (Sleep) mode to resume (On) mode.
the program exits and the PNA (Mio C520 and C320) is restarting
Is there a fix?
The Amigo version does not have this bug.
Please Help!
Thanks and good day!

I had this similar problem with 8.3.4. Sometimes it locks up the screen that I have to do a hard reboot. Sometimes it reboots by itself upon resume.

I did not have this problem with 8.3.2. Let us know if you know what could be the problem.

BTW, I have Navigon 2100.

Thanks.

No proper idea, but you should be warned in sufficient time or not? :D

BTW, 0 m totally disables the alert.

@gachbash:
Windows folder is normally "invisible" - you can access it only with special tool, e.g. Total Commander CE. But there is no need to access it.

Program Files folder is normally visible from PC. Connect your MIO via USB and two new "disk units" will appear. If you expand the "Mio Device" one, you would see following folders:
LocalRecord
Miomap
My Audio
My Pictures
PIM
Program Files
Temp
