i have a question.

iGO8.3.4_117940 does not calculate rout correctly, gives me bad directions, takes me longer way to go.
for instance:

8.3.2.90500 from Edison NJ 08837 to Paramus NJ 07652 = 34 miles and 42 min to get there. Using Garden State Parkway.

iGO8.3.4_117940 from Edison NJ 08837 to Paramus NJ 07652 = 41 miles and 1:05 to get there. When using this version, it gives me everything but garden state parkway.
I'm using same FAST calculation on both, same set up on both versions.
Im using same Navteq maps for both, the maps supported by both.

How can i fix this problem? can someone help please.

Thank you

I don't think you can 'fix' it. Different versions of iGO use different algorithms to calculate the route. Try the earlier version of 8.3.4.x and see if that is better...

doesnt make any sence, wouldnt that cut into their sales? if they know such a problem exists, why not change algorithms to make it work correctly, to save people that extra time and money, which they spend on extra miles calculated by their system.
That is just not smart business,
There must be a solution for this.

Not only different version gives different routing; different map version may also cause routing to be different.

The difficult thing is that most updated version of maps and/or software may not necessarily give you the most accurate routing. It is, at least to my experience, that sometimes you can get better and more sensible routing from older software+map.

Not really, when you buy iGO you don't actually get a choice of which version you get. You just get the version that comes on the chosen device and most people never update or only update when they buy new maps, so don't realise that different versions route differently.

Try selecting 'Economical' and see what difference that makes.

@Megaduck99,
I am using the excellent skin diMka WertVRV/Megaduck v1.1.34.
I like very much the option to hear the last voice instruction repeated When pressing shortly on left top corner.
Pressing and holding the left top corner will show the Route Info Page.
Now, it would be perfect and safer if i could HEAR the TTS voice TELLING me the Route Info page:
Something like
"20 km to your destination at 26 Bonne-Place Str, Paris".
Is it possible to implement this in the skin?

I have a problem with this version of Igo8, recently I have made an update to the software (ROM version WWE_2.53.405.5 official) on my HTC TD2, before it was working very OK but now when I press the world icon on main screen I get this error:

Fatal error occurred in main thread.
Address: 0x00450a50
Exceptin: 0x0000005

Any idea ?

van egy wayteq X820-am, felmásolom ezt a belső memóriába (2gb), de nem tudom elinditani :(
for those who understand english only: I have a Wayteq X820BT, which has a fix, built in 2gb storage. I copy the program to the built in memory, but the program doesn't start. Any help appreciated.

The X820 DOESN'T have a bug in the internal storage but you DIDN'T put the correct path to application in sys.txt. Read in topics how can be done. Enjoy.

Check in sys.txt file for this:

[folders]
app="Internal Storage/iGO8"
content="%SDCARD%/iGO8/content"

and delete it
