Hi Chodi,

It sounds strange ....
Probably you did but... Did you check: Settings/Route planing/Road type Used for Route Planing ????? (I use Gurjon 6.16p_da skin and apologize in advance if you find this setting on a different location).

Good luck,
Nino.

Nino, I am using the same GJ skin but tried others on this new map with the same results. I also did check all the route planning settings with no change. It is as though toll roads were unchecked in route planning. Under normal conditions if you uncheck toll roads it would give this type of results cause it will still use toll roads where it must. I did also try the sys text addition posted here with no change in route results. I then tried the new map with 8.3.2 and also got the same exact "wrong" route planning. I am convinced it is a functions of the new TeleAtlas map. I also suspect there may be a sys text setting to force it to use all toll roads but I cannot find that setting? The really strange thing is that this new map works properly in every other respect.

I found a fix for the routing problem. I am sharing it here in the hope that it save someone else the grief. I added the following to my sys txt:

[route]
correctness=80 ; we used to have a slider for that
allow_unpaved=0
allow_highway=1
allow_ferry=0
allow_charge=1
allow_uturn=1
allow_special=0
allow_carpool=0
planned_route_weight=7
scenic_highway_weight=4
scenic_scenic_weight=2
cross_border_routes=0
slow_car_speed=60 ;(80) eta, route time calc?
slow_car_multiplactor=80 ;(80)
fast_car_speed=100 ;(130)
fast_car_multiplactor=100 ;(100)
motorcycle_speed=120 ;(130)
motorcycle_multiplactor=100 ;(100)
offroad_speed=20 ;(30)

After adding the above to sys txt all the possible routes show up only if I select Scenic as the default route plan. I tested this with several possible destinations and it works perfectly as long as I use Scenic as the default route parameter. Before the addition to sys txt and the setting of Scenic as default, it would not even show all the possible routes correctly. I do not know if this is only a problem with this particular TeleAtlas map of Thailand, or some strange programming conflict. I do know that it now shows all the fastest routes on the latest map with 8.3.4 using Scenic as the default. Strange stuff, but it was a solution. If anyone is interest this is a July 09 Thailand TeleAtlas map.

I have a weird issue in multiple different software versions 8.3.4.117940 and 8.3.4.102680.
Where the gps will not get a signal if the unit was turned off during looking at the map in 3D view. It seams to work fine in 2D view.
To give you an example lets say you got your gps set to 3D view and your driving a route and you pull over to get some fuel so you turn off your gps but pressing the top button (standby). You return and power the GPS back up and the gps will no get a signal again unless you press something like the menu button and than return to map. As mentioned a little earlier it only acts like that when using 3D in 2D I have not noticed that behavior. Has any one seen this before?
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.

I use Navigon 2100 MAX
and in my sys.txt i have

;[device]
;type="HTC Touch HD T8282"

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[gps]
port = 7
baud = 57600
internal = 1

Has anyone got this working on an Xtrons car nav device? I just get a 'program application not found' error. It's running off the SD card. Version 8.0.x worked fine before.

Try this KIT:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/b119304 ... 80x800.zip
You have to input into your sys.txt the resolution according with your device display and to populate the folders, with needed files.
Read how to initiate iGO8 and find download links on the site from my signature.

Good luck

Worked with Teleatlas but tried today Navteq Q3 to driver alerts. It works but after say 45 minutes, IGO suddenly stopped and returned to main menu on my Omnia Wm6.5. This never happened with teleatlas. Any idea why?

Also, what happens if you have a POI file from navteq AND teleatlas in one POI drectory? WHich will be used??

Many thanks

Has anyone had a screen with a countdown for shut down on iGo8?

It only came up a few times. It is a shutdown timer with a countdown from 10, 9, 8 ......

I am using a Dell Axim X51V and CF card GPS.
Skin is Dimka VRV 1137 or GJ6.16p.
Usually it fine. Can I stop this countdown business somehow?

Add to your sys.txt file:

[interface]
shutdown_time=0

My 'modded' full version for Samsung Omnia II. Full kit version for 480_800 & 800_480 resolutions.

Possibly both, if they have different (!) names. Same POIs from both files should then appear doubled.

Hi!
I downloaded the latest version 8.3.4.117940, but in the data.zip under the folder ui_igo8_da I see only two resolutions: 320x240 and 480x272. Where is the 800x480, from which maked the snapshot at the first post?

Bye,
B.
P.S.: Thanks your work Jetmouse!
