Hi folks,
I have the below setup in sys.txt
[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/my-data/tools/navgo/iGO8"
;secondary_root="my-data/tools/navgo/teleatlas"
secondary_root="my-data/tools/navgo/navteq"

What I intended is to let igo8 search for maps pointed secondary_root.
The directory hierarchy is: navteq -+- content -+- map
But igo8 cannot find the map folders in secondary_root. Any idea? Thank you.

Is this version supposed to be superior to the Nov 13 one for Phone/PDA's like HTC HD? Anybody has experience with both Nov 7 and 13 and can compare? Thanks in advance

Don't know anything about specific parameter secondary_root, but in analogy with parameter app, it should be this way: secondary_root="%SDCARD%/my-data/tools/navgo/navteq".

You need to install a Voice under iGO8\content\voice and also some Maps under \map.

I think in general the download in the OP is missing most of what's needed under \content.

See http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=256&t=53201 for voices and maps

If you want to point iGO to a specific folder where your maps/content are, you should be able to use:

content="%SDCARD%/my-data/tools/navgo/navteq/content"

Then it should look for your maps, language files, voices, etc there. If you only want it to look for your maps there, then it won't work.

The Nov 7th version supports VGA resolution, which for me, is very nice, since I have a VGA PDA. Besides that, there is no difference, except that the PDA version doesn't support TTS. Also, there are no skins for true VGA resolution at this time (all current skins just stretch QVGA). I like the VGA resolution too much, so I'm putting up with the lack of skin support. I had to use the iGO.exe from the Nov 13th release in order for TTS to work, though.

I have ASUS 636N and WM5. 8.3.2.64029 works on it without problems. You should do a RESET and install the program again!

it runs fine on my Fuze, but I'm using the default skin, since there aren't any skins that offer true VGA resolution. If you try starting it again, it should ask you if you want it to restore the defaults. Sometimes that's the only way to get it working again.
