I can't seem to be able to change between portrait and landcsape mode from within the UI on my Touch HD. Igo works perfectly in landscape mode with this sys.txt:

But when I try to change from landscape to portrait in UI, Igo restarts in landscape again. I also tried with sys.txt without any resolution entries (the default one or the one posted by LZF), but then it doesn't start up at all.

Could someone please explain if changing is really possible from within the UI on Touch HD and please state what SHOULD and SHOULD NOT be in sys.txt for this to work. I'm using iGO 8.3.2.64873, the newest branding file and data v9b.

These settings fixes the program to landscape mode, and should be discarded, in order to be able to change the screen orientation from within the program.

In case for some reason you can't start iGO, change: the numbers between 'x' and 'y', resolution_dir="240_400", class="portrait".

Using 8.3.2.648xx and LFZ data c and branding. Great thanks to both.
No problems opening it and using in protrait and landscape(altho landscape does not stretch to the whole screen) by selecting screen type in the menus.
Thought I would post my sys.txt file that I have on mine. Although I havent tested on the road yet. If anyone does test it please post here if you use it.

Thanks for the answer! I know how to manually change sys.txt in order to change from landscape to portrait (I currently have 2 sys.txt files according to which mode I need) but i'd like to be able to do this from the UI. I still with all your suggestions cannot find a sys.txt that would allow me to change between the modes and that both portrait and landscape modes would be working perfectly (like primbcadman said, the landscape mode doesn't cover the whole screen if I change to landscape from portrait from within the program, and then changing to portrait again, also this mode is not full-screen). So it really doesn't work for me or I'm too stupid to know how.

So, please, again: is there anybody out there with the HTC Touch HD who has this working flawlessly (both portrait and landscape working full-screen and changeable from within the program) and could this someone please post his/her sys.txt?

Guys, I have the latest igo8 version and the latest modified data.zip from the forum, with the 800x480 dir, and I would like to run igo8 in the native resolution of my Touch HD but I'm not getting this right...
I usually get black bars on the sides or the display way to zoomed and cut...

As I was pointing out some posts earlier, I can't get changing between landscape and portrait modes from the UI working; that's why I have 2 sys.txt files. But otherwise, everything works and looks excellent with these settings.
