Hey, thanks!!! That's exactly what I was looking for and it works perfectly, no more need for 2 separate sys.txt files!

Cheers

I've installed 8.3.2.71348 on my Mio C310x and it works beautifully.

When I tried to use the v9c version and deleted the old data.zip and branding.zip and replaced it with the new ones renamed, I get an error saying "Program application database cannot be found." It's running off of the SD card.

My sys.txt contains:
Code: Select all[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[map]
2dheadup=1

I also tried:
Code: Select all[folders]
app="Storage Card/iGO8"

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[map]
2dheadup=1

Same error...any advice?

Thanks.

I usually get black bars on the sides or the display way to zoomed and cut...
Can anyone help with right sys.txt ??

I'm getting excellent results on my Touch HD with those separate sys.txts for landscape and portrait mode.

Landscape:
Code: Select all[folders]
app="Storage Card/iGO8"

[interface]
show_exit=1
skin="ui_igo8"
resolution_dir="800_480"
maxzoom2d=6000000
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
vga=1
shutdown_time=0
mapfontscale=200

[device]
sdcard_dsk_num=7

[map]
3d_max_tiltlevel=9000
3d_scale_carmodel=1
3dcarsizemin=3500
3dcarsizemax=5000
3dcarsizemul=10000
2dheadup=1

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"
driver="GDI"

[debug]
skip_eula=1

[msdn]
enabled=0

[power]
skip_resume_process=1
skip_suspend_process=1

Portrait:
Code: Select all[folders]
app="Storage Card/iGO8"

[interface]
show_exit=1
skin="ui_igo8"
resolution_dir="480_800"
maxzoom2d=6000000
screen_x=480
screen_y=800
vga=1
shutdown_time=0
mapfontscale=200

[device]
sdcard_dsk_num=7

[map]
3d_max_tiltlevel=9000
3d_scale_carmodel=1
3dcarsizemin=3500
3dcarsizemax=5000
3dcarsizemul=10000
2dheadup=1

[rawdisplay]
highres=0
screen_x=480
screen_y=800
class="portrait"
driver="GDI"

[debug]
skip_eula=1

[msdn]
enabled=0

[power]
skip_resume_process=1
skip_suspend_process=1

As I was pointing out some posts earlier, I can't get changing between landscape and portrait modes from the UI working; that's why I have 2 sys.txt files. But otherwise, everything works and looks excellent with these settings.

Hope this helps!

hi
I tried the landscape sys.txt and put IGO in landscape mode in the GUI.
Unfortunately it remains in portrait... is there another thing to do?
Thanks!!!

I had the same issue until I put data.zip in my HTC touch hd memory drawer: /IGO8
Then it was solved!
I removed also the following:
[folders]
app="Storage Card/iGO8"
for sys.txt

Good luck!

glad to hear that! in fact, as raffke pointed out a few posts earlier, it's not necessary to have 2 different sys.txt files for portrait and landscape anymore. just follow his advice and you can change between portrait and landscape from UI.

cheers

@LZF:

Is it intended to have
Code: Select all[interface]
shutdown_time=0

In your DATA.ZIP?

I think it is better to leave this at default and let the user decide to add this to his SYS.TXT if needed...

PS: I found this, because I added the option to change this in my skin, but it is restored after each restart, if it is set in igo8_general.ini.

Screen size does not matter, resolution is important.What is your resolution ?
