Seems to me there is a bug in 400*240 V1.4 data : When GPS is looking for a fix, you can click on the top right button to show an information message. Clicking again that button should theoricaly hide the message, but it does not work.

oh, this must be a bug in the board software there are 2 spaces in the altkeys line.
i've testet your qwerty keyboard layout in the newest amigo release and the same
problem, no keys are shown.....
it must be a other problem.

..::dafunk::.. wrote:Hello, I updated the DJ-DDAAXX.Amigo v 1.3 to work with Amigo 8.4.2.85182, not only the exe file, but with the "new" data.gro as well.
I updated only the resolution 480_272 because the only resolution in the data.gro is 480_272.
However I left the other resolutions inside of the skin for a future comparison.
I added to the name of the skin the "NEW" suffix, to indicate that it works with the "NEW" release of Amigo.

So, it's only working for 480_272.

Yeah it works, thanks for this. I noticed that in simulation mode compass works ok. But it seems with gps signal it works wrongly. Could someone check this?

You have changed my keyboard from THIS! post a little bit....

I think if you will download again - you will see it works (for me at all versions from Amigo).

You have to use "ui_kbd_9_9_9_7" (or 7_7_7_5, 8_8_8_8)
Amigo v8.4.2.85182 (480x272) does't recognize "ui_kbd_9_9_9_5"

Try this:
[panel]
name= "German (QWERTZ)"
layer= "ui_kbd_9_9_9_7"
keys= "QWERTZUIOASDFGHJKLYXCVBNM-PÄÖÜ ß.,"
shiftkeys= "QWERTZUIOASDFGHJKLYXCVBNM-PÄÖÜ ß.,"
altkeys= "789.,?!€$456:;()£¥123&#%* /-0+=@[]"
shiftlabel= "aA"
altlabel= "@/!"
type=3
family=1

[edit: now should be ok] :lol:

He missed a space in the altkeys line. That is why it is not working. In a 9_9_9_5 keyboard layout, each line should have 32 characters inside quotations. It would be easier if he downloaded the lang.gro from frieda95 directly. :lol:
For the same reason, some of my QWERTY keyboard lang files are available at MegaDuck's site.

I have been using 9_9_9_5 in all my Amigo QWERTY keyboard layouts on my 480x272 GPS without any problem. I have tried that in both release of Amigo too. Besides 9_9_9_5, Amigo also accept 12_12_11_10 as in Thai, but I don't think that would work in 480x272. I have tried 9_9_9_7 in 480x272 when I was making the Portuguese keyboard and it did not work. By the way, the 9_9_9_7 layout from the post above would not work either as there is still one character missing in the altkeys line even if 9_9_9_7 is a valid layout in Amigo. :lol:

I think this is due to a problem in this forum that it automatically removes double space.

Apart from the stuttering voices, which I had also with the previous version, I have now an additional problem with closing the application. It does a soft reset. I have an acer d100, win ce 4.2.

Unless you are using old data.gro
If new, you can't use 9_9_9_5
Please stop guessing, check keyboards_480_272.ui (like I do) :idea:

Hi Jakko,

Yeah.... mine is doing the same too...

Stuttering still present (with the new voices)
Shuts down when [Reset to Defaults]
Powers off when closing the app down <forgot about that>.

* these are not moans, just mentioning the problems/symptoms *

As mentioned previously, I think these come down to it being a WinCE 4.2 device, and there are (as far as I am aware) at least a couple of different builds of WinCE 4.2, so perhaps thats why some work, and others dont....

We gotta expect some bugs, and issues, and without reporting them, then they will go undetected...

Big thanks, and patient user here.... grateful to all who have made this site, and the apps provided so great!! :D

Cheers,

Lister
