Perhaps a dumb question:

I have an Omnitech running Amigo and the 2D display does not work properly. When you go to 2D, it keeps automatically zooming out to the globe (farthest view), and when you click to zoom back in, it immediately goes out to the globe view again. Very frustrating. Any idea how to get rid of this? Everything else seems to be working fine.

I don't recall seeing this discussed here anywhere, and did a search and didn't find anything (so if it was already asked and answered please excuse me - I DID try to find any posts on this subject...):

Does anyone know how to enter text in lower case in Amigo? I want my favorites to be entered with upper and lower case letters - it doesn't look very good in all upper case... I know I can edit the user.upoi file on the computer and change everything to upper/lower case (and then it displays properly in upper and lower case when I go to select my favorites), but I would like to be able to do this from within Amigo... Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi All,

I have been trying to run AMIGO on device emulators.
I have used QVGA windows mobile 6.1 emulator and 6.5 and got similar results.
I have used 95590 version with the large data.gro (15,056.660) and the branding.gro (870)
I have checked other combinations and received similar results
I am puting AMIGO on the shared folder.
I am using portrait mode (other orientations generated similar results)

What I get is:
1. AMIGO starts, I get the logo and see advancing of the prgress bar
2. I get the language selection screen, select a language and press next
3. crash with the following message...

Image

The configuration was extracted as-is from my PDA (ipaq 2795) on which everything works great.
The reason for trying to run it on the emulator was the lake of finding a pc application which reveals the details from all content files (release date, version, OEM, etc...)

Can somebody help?

Try deleting the basemap.fbl from the map folder. I don't know why, but I had the same problem with the emulator, and deleting the basemap.fbl, all worked fine.

Hi everyone,

Brand new to this site so please be gentle. :D

I am running Amigo on Nav N Go IGO Amigo 8.4.2.85182. On a V2 Navigo gps.

This is part of a slightly modded menu system [one of three gps systems] by Bad Bob.

From what I have read on this thread there are higher versions of Amigo than my 8.4.2.85182.

Q1. Does this mean I am running an old version? And if so what is the latest [and where can I find it please]?

I have UK maps - UK(7PPC) 2009.021 [090424]
- Switzerland & Major Roads WE 2008.07 [080910]
- France 2009.02.1 [090424]

Q2. Are these the lates maps that I can use on this version?

My thanks in anticipation.

Punter247

Try deleting the basemap.fbl from the map folder. I don't know why, but I had the same problem with the emulator, and deleting the basemap.fbl, all worked fine.

Many thanks Zpecter!
I don't know either, but it indeed helped!
One last question:
Can I now, after all is working, put the basemap.fbl back in place?
