it's not compatible with the older maps from version 8.0.0.xxxxx

as far as i know, IGO (all version) don't work with AGPS. if you turn it on, IGO will not find any satellites.

No, this only happens with IGO8 and AGPS under WM6.1. My previous PPCs worked perfectly with AGPS and IGO6 under WM6.

In any case, I can't get this new version working on my Tilt.
All OneDagan's versions worled for me perfectly.
Hope He'll turn out a new version based on the new IGO 8.3.2.

All credits goes to pepper... :D

Thanks for that map, the wait is finally over.
Only issue is the buildings. Looks like in this version, only the major ones are shown.
The older versions showed what seemed like all of the buildings

dveved (and pepper) - a million thanks!!! now i have 64873 working with the most recent israel map, and everything is working flawlessly, and faster (and using much less memory) than the previous version...

sbarro - only the 3dl (landmarks) file was included in the file dveved posted. all you have to do is also use the 3dc (city buildings) file from the previous version (they are compatible) and you will have back all the buildings that you had before.

have compared the 8.3 map of 6.2008 to the 8.0 map of 6.2008?
There shouldn't be a differnce , it's the same database from Mapa.

for the roads i use, i've seen no difference between the 6.2008 for v.8.0 and the 6.2008 for v.8.3 - e.g. the new roads at the ein hakore interchange that were updated for the 6.2008 map for v.8.0 are exactly the same as in the new 8.3 version of the 6.2008 map (and the release date of the 2 maps is only a difference of a couple of days, so i think all they did was to make the same map compatible with the new version of the program).

Thank you Onedagan - the new IGO8_V3x works fine on my MIP560
only one problem - backlight dose not go back to original intensity
when i go out the software,
is there any solution for this?

why install v. 8.3.1.56007, when you can install 8.3.2.64873? You can find it on the first page of this thread: http://forum.ppcwarez.org/viewtopic.php?f=255&t=53127&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

i installed it exactly as downloaded from that thread (with just a few changes to the sys.txt file to get rid of msnd and to reduce the size of the arrow), and it works perfectly with the new 8.2006 israel map. haven't seen any problem with the backlight intensity either.

using a mio a501. i take back what i said earlier about the backlight intensity though, it DOES stay as it was in iGO when exiting. this is a minor problem though; overall, the new version is a GREAT improvement over the old in my opinion.

other than the minor esthetic differences (the display seems to be clearer - easier to see where you are and where you need to go in 3D view), the program is running faster/smoother, and uses a lot less memory. with 54000, when i ran iGO8 (without anything else running) i would never have more than 2-3 MB free memory left, whereas with 64873, i now have 12-13 MB free...

I installed the 8.32 version posted by JM.
This version does come up on my Tilt. But it didn't have an 2577 folder, and so didn't perform the install routine which creates the Today icon.
So I copied the 2577 from OneDagan's version, which did go through the installation and created the Today icon.
But when I pressed it it didn't do anything.
So I copied the igo8.exe file from the Sd card to Device\Program Files\igo8, and when I clicked on the Today icon, I received an error message saying that I need to install the origina lapplication card (which, I understand, means that it didn't recognize the license file).
Further, the 8.32 version never got a fix on my Tilt.

Actually, the picture is a bit more grainy on my machune, bur there is a deffinate improvemnet in memory consumption. Good call!

more grainy? are you using it at one of the supported resolutions? i don't have any change in resolution - i think it just looks better (to me) because of the angle at which it's showing the 3D view, plus the blue lines it adds to show you where to turn etc. And the "reality view" with the road signs is nice - at least if you try it out on a map that has them, like in europe; i don't think the israel map has lane information though, which is why it doesn't show these (at least i haven't seen them yet, even on the highway).

i'm using at 240X320 .
Another fixed bug I found is that you can navigate in 2D or Overview , and the arrow eill face the driving direction and not North , as in 8.0xx

i see. basically what is "grainy" is just the buildings when they are semi-transparent. i checked on mine and i see the same as you have for 8.3.2, but do not remember how it was for 8.0. but the rest seems to be exactly the same.

actually, i just checked again and i don't see it the way you do. most of my buildings are solid, not semi-transparent. only those at the bottom of the screen become semi-transparent and "grainy", as ALL of yours appear. i though this might have to do with the setting for building visibility (close or far ahead), but it didn't change when i changed this setting...

i do have a different question for you though - how did you get it to put the km/h in the middle information line up on top? i tried to do this by entering the trip data screen and selecting the speed as the middle item, but it doesn't put it there - it always keeps the top item blank, the middle one with the compass, and the bottom with the time (at least in the mode where i don't have a route planned). is this something fixed in the data.zip? or do you have a skin?
