Igal27, I did exactly as you have written but it does not work with the data.zip file of the new version.

you must have done something not quite right, as i also did it with the new data.zip and it worked fine. are you sure you unzipped and zipped back everything properly?

in any case, i uploaded the data.zip i made from the original 80621 data.zip, with the hebrew keyboard modifications and all resolutions other than 240x320 and 320x240 removed (the branding.zip i use with the israeli poi icons is also in this file - you can use one without the other):

do you have a QWERTY Hebrew Keyboard for 480*272 ?
10x

sorry, this is all i have. but you can try to do it for yourself. the first change in the instructions (the change to the keyboard.ini file) is the same no matter what resolution you use. the 2nd and 3rd changes - to the keyboards_xxx_xxx.ui files - should be made in the respective files (according to your resolution). i think the only changes that have to be made are the x, y, and z values - you can play around with them and see if you can get it right for your resolution(s) by trial and error...

Do you know how to directly convert the coordinates to VGA (480x640) resolution, or should I "play with the numbers" as well ?

adapting the numbers for VGA might actually be easier than for other resolutions, since 480x640 is exactly double the resolution of 240x320, so you could just try doubling all of the x and y values (not sure what the one z value is, but i guess either leave it the same or double it). i have no way of checking this though (i only have a 240x320 device), so if you do try this, let us know if it works. good luck!

PS make sure to use the instructions i uploaded a few posts up, and NOT the ones i uploaded earlier, as there's a small but important modification in this revised version.

In order for us to be able to help you, we need more details:
  • Have you copied your maps to the "Content\map" folder ?
  • Does iGO8 starts fine without an error message ?
  • Is there any map you can see?

It may be that the maps you've downloaded are for iGO8 v8.3.x.x, and not compatible with iGO8 v8.0.0.x.
