Test 1:
I drove from Cluj-Napoca to Tirgu-Mures today, using:
- Hardware: HP iPAQ 316 (800x480 pixels), GPS had a fix;
- Navigation software: new iGO 8.3.2.83157;
- Map: new Romania_2009.02_090403.fbl;
- Skin: Gurjon's GJ6.4p_800x480.zip and Gurjon's branding.zip from branding_800x480.rar;
- Save folder: I kept favorites.sav and history.sav from the previous iGO (v8.3.2.80621).
Results: a few times, iGO said I deviated from the route, but didn't reroute, although it was set to. The top left icon (next maneuver/reroute) was abnormal, with the large transparent black background but the small version of the green reroute icon on it, not the large one. I can't make screenshots now.
Test 2:
Back, from Tirgu-Mures to Cluj-Napoca (partial):
- Hardware: same as above;
- Navigation software: old iGO 8.3.2.80621;
- Map: same (new);
- Skin: same.
Results: works without problems, so it's not the map.
Test 3:
Back, from Tirgu-Mures to Cluj-Napoca (partial):
- Hardware: same as above;
- Navigation software: new iGO 8.3.2.83157;
- Map: old Romania_2008.10_090310_top-map.fbl;
- Skin: same.
Results: same problem as with test 1, so it's not the map, it's the software.
My conclusion: the new map file Romania_2009.02_090403.fbl works (at least, on this route). I think that either iGO v8.3.2.83157 has problems or Gurjon's 6.4p skin has compatibility issues with this iGO version.
I will have to test both iGO versions with this new map, but with the default skin.
