The Macedonian TA and Navteq maps have only (some) connector roads, the OSM (even several kb smaler) has much more connector roads (almost all), and street coverage of several citys, like Skopje, Ohrid and others.

The current OSM (open street map) of Macedonia http://download.geofabrik.de/osm/europe ... ia.osm.bz2 has excelent street coverage of almost all citys in Macedonia, so I would expect that the next igo OSM map will be very usable. You can easy convert the openstreetmap.osm map to a garmin.img or a navitel.nm2 file if you need the map more urgendly.

No thanks, I don't use navitel, I just use iGO8 only so you don't need to send me that nm2, but I appreciate your efforts very much.

Yes, driver alerts are visible in demo (simulation) mode.

There are a lot of alternatives to verify this feature. Check it for example at known railroad crossings or along no passing sections etc.

Hi Neolite. Could you please explain how have you managed to convert OSM to iGo format? I looked on OSM WIKI pages but there are no instructions on how to do this.

It will be much easier, but maybe not so profitable.

No offence mate, but that step wouldn't make any sense. On one hand, who would buy maps from them any more? On the other hand, let's be honest, and admit that those maps (I mean Openstreetmaps) are leaving very much to be desired! The only reason why they use that source is dire necessity. You know, any port in a storm... Not to mention you can find other navigation programs which are compatible with OSM format.

I really hope no offence was taken. I didn't mean for it to come out that way.
