I have finally gotten the 8.3.x running on the c320..the only thing i am missing is the POI's for the new version. "the old POI's" don't work. i have looked and looked and can't seem to find a valid d/l for these. what am i missing? thanks

Set this in your sys.txt file and you can use old POIs (for North America much better then Navteq ones):

[poi]
enable_pois_before_080217=1

Can someone explain to me the difference between the 8.0.0 version (which I run thanks to JetMouse) and the 8.3.2 ?

8.3 newer version (including improved routing engine) and new features. Can use newest maps (not compatible with old ones).

8.0 older version but stable, most likely the development stopped on it. Most likely will be no new sets of maps (2008.04 probably last set for both Europe and North America). You may need to use it if you need maps not released yet for the 8.3 series (like Australia, some Asian countries).

why is this necessary? i have US and Canada NAVTEQ maps installed (2008.Q2) with TeleAtlas POIs (2008.04) and i see all the POIs... (using 8.3.2.64873)

Can whe mix maps 2008-04 with maps 2008-07? I think I have read a comment somewhere about it to avoid it as it may give problems navigating acros borders? Somebody can confirm this?
