2009.12 TopMap Hungary map problem:

Anybody who already installed the 2009.12 Hungary map, please be advised, that this map has road connection problems with both 2009.09 TA and 2009.Q3 NV Austria maps and this leads to weird routing around the border.

For those who often cross the Austrian-Hungarian border, it's better to go back to 2009.09 TopMap Hungary, since it works perfectly with most Austria maps, until NNG re-releases the new one.

I can confirm this - I went hungary-slovakia 3 times and it had problems finding the new border crossing and took me the long route via old crossing. 3rd time, I didn't listen to the GPS instructions and went the new way, the road existed on map. and all was fine until I reached the exact border between hungary and slovakia - and I could see on map that the roads were NOT CONNECTED!

There is very simple solution for this (somebody already mentioned that here i.e. it's not my idea but it works): Upload EastEUMajor83TA_2009.06_090728.fbl and WestEUMajor83TA_2009.06_090727.fbl to your device and everything works like it should.
If you look you will still see that roads are still not connected on the border BUT igo will route over those non-connected roads like it should. With this fix you can use any map you like without problems.

I have both the east and west major roadmaps you mentioned, the new 2009.12 TM Hungary and the 2009.09 TA Austria, and it DOES NOT WORK. It plans through Sopron and does not use the M1 highway.

I can confirm this - both the Eastern and Western MRE maps do NOT solve this issue if you have "local" maps. Simply try to zoom in as much as possible and you can see two completely separated roads in the place of border crossing.

hi, i use igo8.3 on HTC, i have austria2009.09 TA, hungary 2009.12 tm, slovenia 2009.09 monolit, and i made 2 routes from italy to romani: 1 italy-austria-hungary-romania; 2 italy-slovenia-hungary-romania and works very well, the routes are made correct, i loked the trasspasing very closely, i see no problem.

i also have basemap8datasource_2009.09_090930
