Garmin has maps of Japan, you can try that.

How about Latest SE Asia Map (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia etc from TA2009.09)?

One more question regarding POI: why in many cases there is very big difference between the different files for the same country? For example, the size Spain_2009_07_22.poi is 4.3MB and Spain_2009_07_23.poi is 22.4MB!! If the second file contains 5 times more information than the first one, why we need the last?

The Premium POI files are as their name suggests: many more POI. It's another way for Navngo to make money... The example of Spain is just that (a regular POI and a premium one). There is no tool that can combine the POI files. Only thing you cna do is give the files different names and put them in the POI folder, and IGO will read them both. Of course you will have doubles, but there is no way around it.

TopMap NEWS:

TopMap Maps support iGO Truck Navigation in Romania, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and further 3 EEU countries!

Good news. But which are the maps with truck option? Could be 23.03.2010 version of TopMap?

For sure, the NEWS is related to future maps.
The last maps from TM are released around the date 23March2010 and the news about Truck Navigation support has been release on 29April2010.
