Sorry guys first post having just read all 30 pages (took me 3 hours)

I like a few others would like a map of Thailand for ver 8.3.+
I have one for version 8.0.+ but don't know how to convert it to work with this later version (I like an updated one anyway) but convertion 4 now would be ok then i could test my ver 8.3.+ is working.

Last but not least. I don't have a shortcut to IGo 8 with this version on my ppc desktop, I know Doh!

All help greatfully received

The ONLY maps available for 8.3 are Europe, North America, Brazil and Israel.

That's it.

you can't convert maps - a map is either for 8.0 or for 8.3. so you can either wait for a thailand one to become available for 8.3, or use the 8.0 one with 8.0. by the way, there's nothing preventing you from keeping both versions on your sd card and using 8.0 for thailand (or any other maps only available for 8.0) and any other 8.3 maps with 8.3...

as for a shortcut, if you mean on the today screen, then you can only get that by using the latest pda version (64029) with the autoinstaller (2577 folder). when you autoinstall it, it will create a link on your today screen. if, however, you just want to have a shortcut in your Programs folder, then you can just "copy" iGO.exe from the sd card, and "paste shortcut" in the Windows/Start Menu/Programs/ folder (you can rename the shortcut to whatever you want). it will then be available with your other programs, including for mapping to a hardware key (if you have one available).

There does not seem to be thanks button like on some forums, So i'll do it the old way thanks for the info . I'll use the old sd card with version 8.0.+ for now and wait for the new Map got the short cut working so happy with that info also seems like a nice forum, with quick resonses.
