*EDIT* Do you by any chance have a license for these maps? It says I cannot load them with my current license.

If you are using original IGO that came with your device you will get license problem with every map from the internet. Simply changing license will not help, you need to download cracked version of IGO with license (links available on this site). After that every map will work without problem. Be sure to backup all original files from your memory card before doing this just to be able to roll back.

once you have a cracked version of iGO8, you should be able to make it work with one of the following licenses (file includes generic 8.0 license and several different 8.3 licenses):

Unfortunately they're not working. I'm Running 8.0.x on a Navigon Device. I have quite a few licenses on it, and I tried the ones you uploaded as well. Perhaps the version I have doesn't work with this specific map?

this is the map for 8.0... what version of 8.0 do you have? and is it an "original" or cracked version?

This thread is for R3 8.3 compatible maps only. Please post questions and requests for 8.0 series in it's own thread, from what I see it's already confusion here.

[poi]
enable_pois_before_080217=1

Well, I tried both ways and it doesn't work - can't find any POI's at all. I'm using the California POI files from the 2008.1 TA maps.
Can anyone confirm that they got the California POI's from 2008.1 TA maps to work with the 2008.2 Navteq maps using 8.3.64873 iGO?

Delete your "save" folder and try again. Also make sure you don't have another [poi] section somewhere else in your sys.txt file.

I was very ecited when I saw that you were able to use the larger POI set from the teleatlas version because thay have a larger data base. Unfortunatly I am not able to get them to work. I have the north american set of the navteq loaded and for california I replaced the california poi file with the two teleatlas poi files. california1 and california2. I do not get the same poi's compared to the teleatlas still. I have added the poi text in sys file and deleted the save folder. I hope the answer is simple here

thanks for your help

So you're using the exact same California POI files from Teleatlas? I deleted the save folder and restarted, making sure the sys.txt only had one [poi] section, and it still will not find any poi's at all using the Teleatlas POI's. I've used many versions of iGO and never had any problems until now.

Any chance you can upload your copy of the POI files and sys.txt please? Also, what dem/building files are you using ... if it makes any difference?

Ok seems I was using perhaps an older set of California POIs - even though iGO states they are 2008.1.
Anyways, I downloaded the California POI's from the IGO8 MAPS thread - part 10 is the one containing both California POIs.

Code: Select allhttp://rapidshare.com/files/161827403/CONTENT_NA_2008.4.part10.rar

Now it works with the 2008 Q2 NavTeq maps! Awesome!

Btw the file sizes are:
USA_California1.poi 26,108,776
USA_California2.poi 19,171,211

If I want to use the TeleAtlas POI with the Navteq maps do I need to delete the POI files I currently have, or can they all peacefully co-exist since I have entry in SYS.TXT to enable the older POIs? Can I replace the building files with the TeleAtlas, as the TA building files seem to include more too.
