One would hope that the person uploading them would specify..... but half the people here can't even figure out which thread to post in so that might be asking too much of people!

Here is MortScript for people who want to switch the map using 2 folders (named MAP-TA and MAP-NT).

#ErrorLevel("off")

If (ProcExists("iGO8.exe"))
BigMessage("iGo8 is running!")
Exit
EndIf

If (DirExists("\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP-NT"))
Rename("\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP", "\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP-TA")
Rename("\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP-NT", "\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP")
BigMessage("Switched to NT map")
Exit
EndIf

If (DirExists("\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP-TA"))
Rename("\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP", "\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP-NT")
Rename("\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP-TA", "\My Flash Disk\iGo8\CONTENT\MAP")
BigMessage("Switched to TA map")
Exit
EndIf

BigMessage("No MAP dir found!")

To find out which map it is, put in your maps folder, start igo, go to about>map info, and check the source.

@ gone down south

I think they are not out yet, on the website they say Canada 2008Q4, but in fact I am pretty sure they are TA 2008.10 versions.
Also they dont' support Car radios, so I cannot register my unit! So unable to purchase!

And I once tried to buy only a map through NaviExtras but they won't let you. You need to use as a key an SD Card which has on it the full app that you bought. So if you haven't bought the full system, you can't buy just a map. :(

Himm, here's an idea: maybe ppcwares can form a pool where people can donate real money for a specific purpose. I am not willing to pay for the application and then pay for the maps, but would consider paying a fraction of it. Although I have to admit I don't really think this would work.
