Man, your not kidding...
I needed something to do today anyway.

Let's see 24 files, RS makes you wait 13 minutes between dl's on a free account, that comes out to around 5 hours 20 minutes to get the whole package.

There is a bug in the NT maps, at least in Canada: everytime the Lane Information comes up during a route, it is prceeded by a short garbled high speed sound, like accelerated speech on a tape. Has anyone elese noted this?
I tried with different voices, both TTS and regular, and it's the same.

If anyone can check this, I will apprciate it. I'm using the v8.3.2.93112 version.

This should be an option in your skin setup. What skin do you use?

I use GJ6.9.2p. Why would the skin matter, if I use the same skin settings for both maps? Only NT shows ane nformation in Canada.

I use GJ6.9.2p but don't have my PNA with me. Isn't there an optional sound enable/disable on the lane display setup screen?

I get a bell when the lane display pops up or goes away. If you provide a general section of hwy to try in Canada I can test it tonight.

There is an option that enable/disable sound on the lane display setup screen in this skin. Try to deactivate it. it is a really annoying sound.

I never noticed this driving in Toronto. But haven't yet tried it with the NT map just released past week. I'm using same version on an Axim X51V. I'll let you know next time I go on the highway.

You can try it on a simulation - the same bug exists there as well. I only have it with the new NT maps.

No problem with simulation. I simulated going from my house onto Highway 401 to Mississauga and when lanes popped up worked fine. I'm using Kikker 3.2 skin. what is a bit irritating is that TTS called it H-W-Y 401 instead of Highway 401. I'll see if I can fix the lexicon.

Just add this lin into the rules.txt file inside the voice you use.
/(?i)([\s,\.]r_art_s.*[\s,\.])HWY(,*)(\.*)(\s+)(.*r_art_e[\s,\.])/-->"\1 Highway \2\4\5"

There are some skins that allow you to get a warning sound when lane information appears on the map and Gurjon is one of these skins.

WOW!

TA 2009.2 still have problems.... I think we will have to stay with 2008Q2 Navteq!
TA has speed limit problem again MPH converted to KMH so 161Km/H in usual 100Km/h zone (was corrected when submitted problem to NNG).

Also when engaging an Hiwgway it always says Kings Highway before saying the right name.!

I think the maps are not really updated or just repacked :(
