I just had returned from Italy. I used Italy map from july 2007. To my opinion this map is older then the map from January 2007. To your knowledge.

Same with Germany, the 2007.7 and 2007.4 maps are both BAD!!! they are using old data, no idea, why this is, but i can confirm that there are news roads missing which already had been in the 2007.1 map.

Someone had the same experience mit the UK and France 2007.7 maps

No idea, where these maps came from, seems to me, that they are from a new device, where IGO just renamed the old maps to make them look new?!

The maps of Eastern Europe 2007.7 (especially Czech Rep., Crotia, Slovakia, Hungary) are using newer data though, I can recommend those, about Western Europe it seems doubtful (Italy, Germany, UK must have older data sources), I went back to 2007.1

Anybody else have information about other 2007.7 maps? Please share yout experiences!

The UK 2007.7 is 6 meg larger than the the 2007.1 map.

I have also seen the roads have been updated with the 2007.7 map.

Read this about another issue I've found with the german maps 2007.04 and 2007.07:

I also went back to 2007.01 map(s).

The problem is, that we don´t know the source of these "new" maps.
I was not able to find it in an official package. Nobody knows really, wheather these mapy are really new or not. I´m personally thinking they are some kind of joke (or fake).

Yeah, the eastern europe maps are very good also to my opinion. I used the last releases a couple of weeks ago to my trip to south Ukraine, and i can recomment igo as the best navi for eastern europe.

Also i think that the issue of wrong directions through western and eastern europe border crossing is solved with the last released maps. Planing a trip from Holland for example, to Greece, it shows the correct route through all countries of former Yugoslavia. No more errors through Slovenian and Croatian borders for example.
And a trip plan from Greece for example to Ukraine, shows also the correct route through Bulgaria and Romania, which in the past also caused problems, with the Bulgarian map if i remember wel. A trip from Germany, through Poland to Ukraine also without problems.

About western europe maps, they are already so good detailed, that one roundabout more or less doesn't make difference, at my opinion.

BTW, at my experience, the best configuration for route planning is: type: car, sort route: fast, and the buttom on the fast--------optimal, all the way to fast. With this configuration i get the last time, the best route's calculations...
