Re: the 2007.7 maps....in my area of upstate NY all Teleatlas maps until this version had a problem with a 2 yr old road...at one point you would suddenly "fly" off the road into the woods for about a mile, then mysteriously pop back onto the road. The 2007.7 version fixed that error. A limited test, but I'm sticking with the new version based on it.
Maybe the calibration of the map-road coordinates with the actuall gps possition is not correct. It happens bij many maps. Nothing to do. Data fault in my opinion.

I can confirm that. :?

Re: 2007.7 North American maps
........This is definately incorrect and as others have pointed out, a problem with this July update not playing nice with the nav software.

It's true that igo se release 18-6-2007 keeps sometimes giving strange routes. This configuration for route calculating gives me, the last time reasonable routes:
Route parameters:
Method -> all the way to optimal
Route -> fast
Vehicle -> Lorry (!!!)
Allow: Motorways-Toll roads-ferries
Route settings:
Off-route sensitivity: 7
Recalculation delay: 3sec
U-turn penalty: 100m

I'm quite confused ... can I find somewhere all the maps at one place ... not in 75 pages?
It takes a week to download them all and another week to figure out what is the latest version :)

It is not very polite to ask for something like this but ... I'll be glad to help somehow to gather them all in one piece.

@osavioro: the maps are better located in this post: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=20355 or evn the first page of this one (if you look at the dates next to the files)

@(all the rest): thanks for the answers...so it looks like the 2007.1 ones were pulled from C220 (and maybe C520) - at least for North America. Can anyone confirm the source of 2007? Is it from the latest models or...?

[EDIT]@osavioro: If you have a bittorrent client and do a torrent search you will find a fairly big (3.4GB) source with all the 2007.1 maps.

I'm looking for a Program that can change .txt files to .mtc files for speedcams for the USA unless someone has Speedcams already in that format.

Also are there any good places to get POI's people have made up for say Starbucks or Wal-Marts for the USA?

Oh, what about the Speedcams, my advise is - DON'T SPEED! (Kiddin' again), and on the serious note, I'm not an expert about it, maybe someone else will tell ya' more.

OK, tell me this:
why you don't use either Tomtom or iGo? Those are THE BEST! Easy in maps (I prefer iGo, it has newest maps), easy on POIs, fast as a lightning... So, why Mapopolis, why Miomap? If you are serious traveler, I'd go with the beforementioned two...

I have a ipaq RX5910 running WM5 that came with Tomtom navigation, but I prefer iGo2006plus (June 18 version) running Jan 07 maps. Tried the July/Aug North American updates but switched back to Jan. maps due to mentioned problem. I also have MioMap 3.2? installed but that seems to be a "version" of the iGo2006plus.
