I should remind that not everyone has the suitable hardware to run iGo8 smoothly.

My mio 168 is from october 2004 and igo 8 works great on it, i would say just try it.

Not to be argumentative but consider my case:

I have a Mio310x and a Mio720t

Unlocked my Mio310x has 56 Mb free Ram, whilst my 720t has 30 Mb free after unlock.

They have the exact same hardware (mio720t has a different model processor but same speed). Why the descrepancy after unlock? Because the Mio720t "MainShell" takes up close to 25 MB of Ram. You can't close the "mainshell" to free up RAM because then the system can't go on standby. I would prefer to use my 720t because it has a bigger screen and traffic.

So -> I have tried it. It works fine on my 310x but not on my 720t (I get the out of memory screen alot).

So back to my original question -> Can anyone tell me if there are updated USA 2008 maps for igo2006 or any variant of this software. Thanks for the replies!!

Looking for them myself also. I know that V7 have released maps from 2008.04.

Points of Interest (POIs) : More than 12 Million Points of Interest for US & Canada & Limited POI coverage and cross border routing capability for Mexico.

They are compatible with iGo 2006/MioMap 3.x

Speaking about the new maps, I downloaded many from one dutch site indicated here, but some of them are not working: Latvia, Montenegro, San Marino and, of course, Switzerland. Is it a file(s) problem or do I need to change my license that has been working until now with any map that I tried?

also i have the same problem and more also the italy_2008.01 doe's not work with my gps basemap 2006.01....mio map version 3.2 mar 1 2007....
i can see just italy_2007.10 and tha austria_2008.01

There's a map that is missing on the Filefactory: Switzerland_2008.01.

Is there a iGO 2006 version of the NaviGreece 2008.07 Greek map available? I have the iGO 8 version but i am looking for a new map for iGO 2006.
