Do maps for miomap 3.3 work with iGO 8?

Nope they do not. 3.3 files have poi's included in the map file. In iGo 8 there were split apart. They do not work at all.

best solution is: test different version of maps then choose what better for you

This is not true. Maps 01 and 04.08 for Slovenia are almost identical. The coverage for 01 and 04 maps is about 43%. But with this new map coverage is about 70%. This 07.08 map is much better. But unfortunately search method don't work for almost all cities, because of bad crack and some stupid protection. When you are on the road you can actualy see that coverage is really good.
Slovenia don't have local provider for IGO maps, provider is Teleatlas and the coverage now is really good.
Garmin Adria route have about 99% full coverage for Slovenia, but this maps are identical to ETIS (elektronski telefonski imenik Republike Slovenije, Digital phonebook-map for Slovenia). And this maps are really bad, my address is marked on 4 houses in same village. Garmin map is really bugy.

But Teleatlas map for Slovenia is not just "COPY/PASTE" from another map. They actualy make maps by himself.

Soon or later there will be 2008.07 maps available for iGO8.0.0.54000 and some previous releases I'm sure. They can't leave their normal users who bought iGO8 in the box without proper maps.

Can someone repost POI's, Buildings, 3D Terrain for western europe.

I try Slovenia 2008_07 and street search works only for Ljubljana as for difference between 01 and 04 maps are big becouse some street were written twice or wrong street name etc and they repair some of tat mistakes but some they will need to repair in future.

Poi also work with present license

Map set 2008.07 has the different structure (simply speaking) than 2008.04 or 2008.01 maps

Regarding patched maps - search for street names does not work in majority of places - you can those streets on map, and select them manualy, but you can not search for them in meny after selecting city.
So we should wait to see JM final release or daumrimas new patch.

edit : for IGO 2006, the map of canada contain 12million of poi. now in igo8 the fils of poi contain only 5millions of poi! are there solutions for extract the poi of igo6 map to make a poi file that work in igo8!
