Hallo hat jemand noch mal die Links für die beiden Skins. Ich möchte gerne mal ein deutsches Sprachpaket auf die Skins schrauben.

Vielen Dank

Gruß Scout

Sorry not to have read all previous 92 pages, but does someone have a lead on a skin for 320x320? Thanks in advance.

Great job for skin makers.
Since the new i-go8 8.32 version has release with native 800x480 resolution( for my ipaq 316), i candly ask of you to make your skin in this resolution.

Thanks in advance,
FFocus

The biggest issue that most of us skin makers/modifiers have is that we do not have any devices capable of that resolution so we cannot align things nor test the skin.

Hello,

i think Specter have ipaq 31XX...and many other maybe have...so...i hope:)
i hope alsp to have poi icons...for that resolution ...soon:D

Thanks

ericdevet wrote:What software do i need to start creating my own Skins, and where can i get it.

Winzip or WinRAR, notepad (Any text editor), a program to compare files and show differences, a program to decompress the iGO .bmp file, a graphics editor that supports alpha channels

I use Compare Suite, Search by Sadman Software, Winzip, iPAQ Image Explorer (iPAQ 31x uses iGO8) and finally Photoshop for the bmp's.

Megaduck, awesome work you are doing!

May I recommend Total Commander? It will make you life so much easier.

It automatically unpacks and repacks archives, with a press of a button (F4) you can open a file for edit with notepad, and it has a binary comparison feature inside the program. It pretty much does it all for you.

It took me a few days to get used to it a few years ago but I LOVE it!

Check it out at ghisler.com, and if you need a serial for it let me know :)

If you don't want to read, the least you can do is use SEARCH!

"igo" + "320x320" + search = ZILCH. Thanks anyway. :?

i having a problem to install a skin (any kind of...), i using iGo v8.3.2.64873 on Mio C320 (480*272).
the problem is that when i put the skin ZIP file into the "skin" folder - the skin is not recognized by the program.
the "skin" icon (button) is in grey color, like the is no skin...

look at the attached print screen from my SD card.

i tried different skin (only Version 8.3.2.x Compatible + 480*272), non works for me
:?
do i need to configure something?
what did i missed?

:) seems that you had use the just "complex" skin which is a "mix" of a skin+language+.....into a archive that ironically has the name of the skin. Try to extract the skin from the inside of archive and put in the skin folder. Enjoy

You must unzip the file. Inside you will find an other file dimkaspecter107.zip and color schemes

Did you put the zip file of the skin in the skin folder? some skins come inside a rar (and sometimes insize a zip, so it's a zip inside a zip), so you need to unpack the rar 1st and then copy the skin's zip-file to the skin folder (without unpacking the zip-file).

If the skin doesn't show up then maybe it's a resolution issue: for example, my ipaq310 is 800x480, so if I set sys.txt to 800x480 any skin that doesn't have 800x480 will not show up. If I set it to 400x240 then all the skins that are 400x240 show up (need to restart igo of course).
