What exactly is the difference between "dark" version, and regular version ?

Why is there still a "Megaduck" version and a regular version ?

As far as I've read, Megaduck changes are constant, and they seem to me as welcomed skin improvements and fixes, that don't collide with the "main" one.

The Megaduck99/Specter version adds the following features:
Stopped the speed indicator on the Nav screen from turning red when "Warn when Speeding" is off.

Changed the script so that the speed no longer disappears when stationary.

Added settings, variable and scripts so that house numbers will only show within a set distance of the destination

Clicking the turn icon will repeat the last command

Adds option to show route summary - Goes to the Plan Map after selecting a POI, HISTORY or FAVORITE.

When selecting destination from the cursor menu, it will automatically minimize the cursor menu.

    Fixes to Plan Mode screen

    Added 240x400 resolution

Second progress style (currently called Route Progress B)

On 480x272 and 240x400 re-introduced the field label on screen as there is more room vertically.

This is very useful. I always wondered why nobody made one available. I believe you should update it at least with the major changes as the skin is developed. No use in making changes if people don't know how to use the new features. 8)

Here is an alpha release of the dimka/megaduck99/specter skin for 640x480 and 800x480 (NATIVE RESOLUTIONS). It is based on version 1.19. It still needs work, but it is usable.

MEGADUCK & DIMKA & SPECTER :

Have anyone tought of implementing the OASIS MULTIMEDIA Menus (EXTRAS - LIKE MP3,VIDEO PLAYER, CALCULATOR, CLOCK) from the 8.3.1.55385 release ?

This skin creator made it almost possible :
http://www.ppcwarez2.com/phpbb/viewtopi ... 570#p13570

he managed to get the buttons on the 8.3.2 release but the buttons are still inactive.
i think it can be really great if 8.3.2 users be able to enjoy this addition.

10X !!

If you refer to the "alpha version": I think these don't look good in high resolution, even if they are native 640x480 and 800x480. The low-res bitmaps were resized with an image processing program, to higher resolution. They were not drawn at that high resolution.

I believe they are useful for the settings (you can use native high resolution settings in iGO), but the looks is not native - the lines have jagged edges.

The bmps will be no more jagged than the 400x240 version running in 800x480. Running it as 800x480 will give you nice full resolution menus and keyboard. That part will look much better. so you lose nothing going this route and gain much nicer menus.

And there it's a matter of time when all bitmaps will be replaced with correct sized. We (converters ;) ) perform only first steps to ideal solution.

If you want to take a shot at making a different resolution of the dimka skin, or any skin for that matter, you can try this program: iGoSkinWizard v0.92

http://www.igo8mods.com/sw/index.htm

gps4blackjack wrote it. I used it to make the dimka 800x480/640x480 version.

@ arkoko

I am using the your gurjon hp skin with my ipaq 310 and the bitblaster hp bluetooth files,
I am able to bring up blue tooth from inside the skin, but I am unable to dail any of the poi
numbers, the call button is visible at the bottom of the poi, but clicking on it does
not start the dialing, I am able to dial a number right from the keypad page in bluetooth,
but not from the poi dial button.

Are you able to dial from your poi list with the your gurjon skin.

Thanks
Lionedas
